Looking for an 1100

So I sent my rifle into Remington for a firing pin problem a week ago. I never heard anything from them so I called and they told me minimum of 8 weeks .Now I have to start thinking about another gun to use here for deer season.  I have other guns to use but I’ve always wanted a Remington 1000. Anybody on this great forum looking to unload (pun intended)?

I do not have a 1100 for sale , but 8 weeks ? Wow. Are the building you a new rifle from scratch?

When I first was in contact with them they told usual turn around time is 2 weeks .

Back when it was shotgun only (where I hunted) My 870 broke 3 days before the season. I drove out to Ilion and they fixed it for me while I waited. I never called or asked. Just went on a wing and a prayer....

Try machias outdoors i know he had 2 last  gun season and i honestly think i seen one on his used rack last weekend. But could be wrong. Worth a shot

I don't know where you are located, but you might want to check online at a couple places, even if it is a bit of a drive...

Kittery Gun Shop is about an hour north of Boston....they have a huge inventory, and prices are reasonable. Close by is a Cabelas, also. The PA Cabelas had a great inventory too, all three having a large stock of used Remington shotguns when I was there last. I had been sorely tempted a few times by 1100 slug guns, but darn it, I just don't have any use for one any more. Of course, it wouldn't hurt to google gunshops in your area, and just call them too.

Some of the older Remington 1100 shotgun barrels were found deficient in handling the wear of steel shot.  Owners were given money as a settlement.  So be careful if you purchase one of these shotguns with that deficient barrel.

Or buy an 1100 receiver and then buy a Hastings barrel with chokes--- money, trust me well spent
