Gobbling in February?

Sitting on my back porch listening to birds sounding off.  What the crap?

Saw a big flock of toms/jakes gobbling in a field yesterday driving home.  Had to of been 10-15.

It's called "False Spring".

My cousin has a couple different flocks of toms on his farm.  Yesterday morning I stopped by and there had to be 8-10 different gobblers going nuts.   He's been seeing them in his fields strutting the past week or so.

Saw a group of 20-25 birds yesterday in a field and 4 toms on full display.

Actually, it happens a lot. The toms are anxious to get the party started, and the warm weather just accelerates things.
