BizCT
12/3: dad hunted dark to dark and saw nothing.I returned to 3S with bow to check cam. Hunted 245pm - dark. At 330pm i saw 5 does/fawns (see screenshot of video I took). I watched them for 10min and then 10min after that a young 6pt came through nose to the ground following their exact route. Then at 420pm right before sunset a red fox came in. It came in quick and was under me at under 10yds. I waited for it to get a little farther out to draw and not see me. I stood up out of my chair took 2 steps and drew. The fox stopped and I shot. I aimed center mass. I heard a “pop” and it trotted away slowly. I felt good on the shot, checked my arrow and not much blood on BH or shaft, but the fletching had blood so must be a pass through. It got dark quick but I was able to follow the trickles of blood through a bunch of blow downs. I thought each time it would be there. After 150yds I hit a swamp with deeper water. Figured that was a good spot to stop in the dark. I’ll go back tomorrow to pickup the blood. Robhuntandfish
Good luck on the fox in the morn. You'll find him. No shot on the six point? Back in the woods and making it happen!
BizCT
Good luck on the fox in the morn. You'll find him. No shot on the six point? Back in the woods and making it happen! He’s was 50yds. I wouldn’t have shot anyway. He looked like a 1.5. I’m nearly certain it was this deer. I took a pic of 10/17 when driving in. I shot a 6 this year but he was a 2.5. You might have another nice 8 there next season.

BizCT
Update - checked today and didn’t find the fox. Was able to advance the track but once I got into the swampy water I couldn’t find it. All in all, the fox only went like 60yds as the crow flies but I tracked 150yds following blood through all the zig zags it made. BizCT
12/9/20: Dad hunted dark to dark and he saw 1 doe. Watched her from 830am-10am a full 90 minutes eating ferns about 100yds away.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro I was bustin your chops....You would probably need a good foxhound to have a chance and that would be doubtful if it headed for water. Amazes me how far they go sometimes after being hit.

BizCT
12/11: dad hunted dark to dark and saw 3 deer in afternoon. 2 he couldn’t see heads and the 3rd was a young buck at least a 4pt maybe 6 with brows. He checked 1 cam and had this nice bobcat on it.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

chrisw
As awesome and gorgeous as bobcats are I don't think I'd ever shoot one, personally. Other than getting a mount or hide out of the deal I have no real reason to kill one I guess. I'd love to see them in the woods though!Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
BizCT
Dad didn’t see anything today. He hunted 32 of the possible 37 days between xbow and shotgun season. His First buck-less season since 2013. He normally hunts late season with xbow or new ML, but with my brother closing on a house and helping him, along with selling my grandma’s condo, he’s calling it quits. BizCT
12/21: bow Hunted 3S for the morning till 930am and watched a doe for 90min pawing at the ground looking for food. Took some video. No bucks seen. Cam had does, small buck, fox, coyote and bobcat.First buck-less for Dad and I since 2013, but still a great season. He saw a few nice bucks in 3N (not killed by neighbors either), and I saw my first ever 10pt in 3S and a nice 8 as well. In all I got two 10’s, two 8’s, and 7 on camera in 3S. I seen several red fox and wounded one, but couldn’t find it. Dad saw a bobcat. And thanks to covid I didn’t hunt with the shotgun the entire season. I did rifle hunt 2 days in WNY but saw nothing except 1 red fox. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
