biggamefish
I have always peed into a bottle and then dump it away from my stands. I don't know if it helps or not. Bow season I will always do it because I need the deer close but I know people that get the big ones and see deer all the time and pee right next to their stand. sampotter
I do. Pat rockets will tell you it makes a good hand warmer- he's right. Sucks when you bottle isn't as big as you'd hoped.
First-light
been peeing off the stand for years, does not bother the deer. Actually had a big buck come in this year 10 minutes after I went. He was down wind also. No big deal.
Gthphtm
Many years ago that topic came up. So we went to a well traveled trail, there were some tree stumps sticking out of the ground on the trail from logging,we took turns doing it on different stumps, later on a few deer were walking threw,They stopped at ever stump each sniffed them and walked over to the next one. They were not spooked at all. JimmyDaSavage
No bottle for me. Although I drink a lot of apple juice in the woods. Helps me mentally when peeing on the ground lol.

joe12
I believe baiting is legal in nj and pa. I know a guy that literally hunts over a timed feeder in nj.
RifleSharpShot
Ive shot deer after taking a leak i dont think it bothers them at all!!
pistolp71
I don't use a bottle because I don't believe it would help any. I've had many mature deer very close to my tree after recently peeing out of the tree. I shot my very first deer when I was 16 AS I was taking a leak. There was no time to put it away. LOL. outdoorstom
Put up a camera over an active scrape and pee in it. You'll be amazed at all the deer hitting it.
CAM-O
Put up a camera over an active scrape and pee in it. You'll be amazed at all the deer hitting it. arrow nocker
i pee in the scrapes i see to wake them up. Had a doe spook once when she smelled my pee.I peed in a spot i wanted a deer to stop on the trail. She came thru then stoped. She sniffed and jumped then looked around.then went to going right back to walking.I wasn't taking does at the time. I used to do the water bottle thing.Got pee on my hand once and said the hell with this.Started googling it and found the big thread on Bowsite on peeing in scrapes. So i tried it.It works.deer cant tell if the urine is human or another kind of animal. WNYBuckHunter
I used to use a bottle, but after learning about guys peeing in scrapes and seeing the trail cam footage to prove that it doesnt bother the deer, I just let it fly out of the stand. Ive had a couple of deer in this year right after I peed.
Fantail
If I buy a few cams for next year, I'm more worried about them spooking deer then wizz. Last year I didn't wizz in a bottle, 4 deer. This year I used a bottle, 4 deer. Edited November 28, 2011 by Fantail
dave6x6
Have always squirted from the stand and have never seen a problem even with mature bucks. This year however, after reading on this site about peeing in scrapes, i conducted my own experiment. Put the camera out and was amazed at the pics. I was joking earlier about making mock scrapes right off the downwind side of my stands, but i may seriously do it next yr. By the way, Chuck Adams does not carry a pee bottle.
