My New Encore Whitetail Extreme

I just made a deal to trade my Encore handgun for a never been shot stainless Encore Whitetail Extreme frame with a set of walnut pistol and rifle stocks. Now I just have to pick up the ML and pistol barrels with the money I get from selling my current ML and shotgun. The Encore Whitetail Extreme was a special run model from 2003, of which only 200 were made. Its a gorgeous frame with full engraving on both sides. Im more than excited about the trade and cant wait to get the new one in my hands!

Do yourself a favor and get a Bergara 50cal barrel!

That's the next thing, barrels. Not sure if I will go with Bergara or the fluted Pro Hunter barrel. I'm planning on a pistol barrel or two and a 30-06 setup as well.

What's the difference between the Bergara and the TC barrels?

Bergara barrels are fluted and usually out perform any t/c barrel and id also suggest buyin it from Bellm Tc. Along with a few other upgrades from there.. im in the process of putting another encore together now

I just looked into scopes and have decided on the Vortex Viper HSBC in 2.5-10x44 which I'll be using on both rifle and ML setups until I can swing a second so both have the same glass. Should be a good setup.

My Frame and stocks came today. Turns out the gun had a few shots on it, so the deal was changed a bit, but I still got a good deal on it. Im happy with the gun and will be taking the frame apart to clean it real good this weekend at some point. Im hoping to make a deal on a ML barrel for it at the gun show tomorrow. If not, Ill be talking to the guy Bubba suggested. Here it is...

Awesome looking gun.. I just got a encore pro hunter frame and I just ordered a .270 barrel for it. I can't wait to get it all put together and shoot it.

Thanks guys. Yeah she knows. Shes ok with it because I am not technically adding anything to the arsenal, just trading out. I have a wedding to fund this year, so Im trying to keep my gun and hunting spending down a bit. Cant say as Ill be successful though lol.

Dear Lord, we need to have an intervention for you. Never, EVER say that you will cut your hunting fund in any way, shape or form.

WNY. just a word of caution if you are planning to drop the trigger assembly out of it to clean it. The cross reciever screw can be a bear to line up and it it VERY soft Stainless. Watch the cross threading.

About a half turn worth but just enough that I had to chase the threads on the screw and the reciever.

Talked with Kurt at Bellm Tc today. Hes got a dozen 50cal bergara barrels being shipped in next week
