On a side note the Supervisor from this town stopped by our house last week, to talk about an upcoming , chip/seal  being done to the road . I brought up an upcoming project along the Bay .....

My wife came to the door , he said , “ well if we don’t spend the money we’ll lose it .” I knew what was coming now . Mrs Nomad gave him both barrels .

“ They did the same BS at the VA, spent tax money on BS that was of no benefit to the vets ,so they could get more the next year .” That’s just an irresponsible waste of tax money !

He slowly backed away.... Then went nextdoor where their German Shepard wanted to tear his head off lol . Pick a door one has a violent dog , the other , Mrs Nomad .

He better hope our taxes don’t go up .....

Those houses that didn't sell will get caught up in the next town wide reassessment, which is probably being moved up on everybody's schedules. No taxing authority is going to miss out on a potential windfall like this rapid raise in housing inventory value. Especially with King Andy's cap to keep town and county tax increases at 2% annual while he cuts state aid to those same taxing authorities.

All I'm saying is not everyone's taxes are going up 40% yoy just because the houses did.

It'll be assessed for what they paid for it at least with matching taxes. Whether or not they have negative equity is different. So far sold houses have been in bidding war or have backup offers. A bank would be dumb to turn you down due to their lower appraisal. Another bank will just step in.

And that is why this impending collapse is going to make 2008 look like a walk in the park. I'm waiting for the collapse to buy.

Exactly.  Our town is reassessing to 100% this summer.  Every house in our area sold in days this yr and for a lot more then they should have.  When the market collapses, is the town/County going to drop the assessment?  Of course not.

You're going to have to fight that individually. I just went through that successfully and got a bit educated in the process.

just like gas and limber pricing, they go up a lot faster and easier than they come back down.

that's when you list your house to prove it's no longer valued at that amount and go through the process. then as people do others use them as comparable property to lower there's. back when we had a "camp" on a lake they upped our reassessment (without any sale or permitted work) and taxes constantly. pulled public records for comparable properties on the lake and kept getting it lowered again. did that a few times before they finally stopped.

My wife has 4 yrs until she retires form the state with 32 yrs.  However there's speculation king andy is going to mandate all state employees must get vaccinated.  Not going to happen. Wife has started looking into work opportunities in Tennessee.

You would move instead of getting a vaccine that seams nuts.

Absolutely. Nobody should be forced with termination if they don't comply.  Ironically, it's only the left states that are going this route.

Can you or anyone tell us that 5 or 10 yrs down the road there won't be side-effects?  No you can't.  The government, or the pharmaceuticals can't either.

Wife and I can't wait to leave this socialists  state. This might be the reason.

You’re not the only one. I know several people (teachers, doctors, corporate professionals), who would quit their jobs before getting the vaccine. Most of them are not anti Vaxxers either.
