Anyone use one of these to cut carbon arrows?

Thinking this might be a affordable alternative. Harbor freight, and only $40.

I bought one and never used it . The guys on AT have had luck using it with an abrasive wheel instead of the jewelers saw that it comes with. They even had the part number of the new blade.

I was going to buy the parts and saw to make my own arrow saw but haven’t yet.  Archery Talk DIY forum had a few designs with that little saw.

Just buy a freaking arrow saw..your talking about a stinking 100 bucks for something you will have for life.

My shop 2 miles away Charges $1 an arrow to cut and square. So i haven’t bought one lol.

Where are you located, you can use mine for free. Seriously, an arrow saw with the proper blade and rpms between 5k and 8k is cheap considering the price of shafts.
If you only cutting a dozen every handful of years then it doesn’t make sense to own a saw at all …order them cut.

That is one of the biggest diy on the AT forum. There are tons of people who had success with that saw. If you bought it already go for it.

That's just it, I'll probably only do a dozen a yr, if that. I'm east of Albany NY.

Ok. I'm a member there, but don't frequent it that often. I'll look up some ideas before I buy one.

I've know several guys who use the HF saw with slight modifications for a true square cut.
