nybuckboy
Yep set up the Glendale buck at 25 yds and flung a few arrows. Boy the first 3 were not too good. The group tightened up over the next 9 to acceptable. Felt good to get back at it.

Gobbler Chaser
I got over a bad case of target panic years ago and shoot better now than ever, it's all in the head. I love practicing this time of year in a t shirt and shorts drinking an ice tea. I'm shooting at 60 lbs now which is a big help too.

I don’t have it yet but I use a wrist strap trigger release and it’s hard to find an article on archery that doesn’t claim that target panic is inevitable with this type of release…
Red
What's helped me in the past is standing about 10-15' away from the target draw your bow back with your eyes closed open your eyes when Ashford and release. Repeat that over and over again. Also sometimes I'll stand closer and shoot a few without opening the eyes..

I would deal with target panic when it rears it's ugly head. I am not sure how much precautions you can take. The main thing is too focus on not punching the trigger and accepting your pin float and not trying to quick release when the pin is floating in the center. I don't think everybody gets it.

Close to hunting season but it was worth it. Played around with poundage and dropped to 63 from 70. When I started again was like I never had it. Still not sure if it was phycological or not.
