Since I was 12 for small game. 14 for bow hunting. So 25 years for me. My dad hunted early on in his life but I never got to hunt with him. A few of his friends brought me and showed me the ropes of still hunting the Adirondacks.

34, always fished never thought about hunting.

The organic meat is what sucked me in! Didn't see a single deer last year, got a doe so far this year.

This topic has come up several times over the years, larger group then one would think of folks starting out as an adult and not youngsters on here. (I started mid 20’s, non hunting family)

Legally since 1996 when I took the hunters safety course at 12 years old.

But before that I shot a ton of birds, woodchucks, chipmunks, squirrels etc. with a crossman CO2 pellet guns, rifles (.224wby mag), and a Charles Daly 20ga shotgun. It’s been 25+ years so I think it’s ok to tell the truth

I’ve been a licensed hunter since 1991 when I was 12 but I started hunting earlier on in my childhood going with my father.
