boo711
I went yesterday to check some trail cams behind my cousins shop. Found a dead deer laying right next to the building. Not going to be easy to drag into the woods as it is thick as hell for at least 75 yards when entering the woods and it is all uphill. Not something I want to tackle. Thought about just dragging it to the road and leaving it, hoping state would pick up. Also thought about hauling it to another area I hunt and using it for coyote bait. Just not sure if “legal” to be transported. Don’t want to just leave there to decompose. Then I’ll have to take of it once mowing season starts. Any thoughts on getting rid of a dead deer?? They said they won’t come out to take care of and seemed to have a “your problem not ours attitude”. Lol. Think I’ll just drag to road and let the state highway guys deal with it
Lawdwaz
Drag it to the road now. Some authority will grab it.
GreeneHunter
If you can get someone to help you drag it into the woods and post a Trail Cam pointing at it and just see what it attracts !

Daveboone
Looks like it has been there a while. It is illegal to transport without a tag...as Chef said, call for a roadkill tag then you can legally move it. You can move it from one spot on your property to another. I doubt any public entity will touch it. There are generally way to many of them to worry about.
