  1. Should be shorter than that even....probably up to 4 feet max. I've experienced the 2 ft dropsies before...talk about a heart-pumping, pants-filling experience.

  6. I shot this buck in 2003 during the IL archery season. The mount was ready and finished in Feb of 2004 but he stuck aroung the taxi studio on display till two weeks ago. I really didn't have the right place to hang my best buck ever, 167" P&Y typical. That is until I decided to hang him up at my girl's house. He now has a new home and I can see more of him!! Hope you guys enjoy seeing him as much as I do.

  7. So I had the cameras out for a few weeks in some different spots than normal trying to see what kind of action I had and needless to say, 2 weeks, 20 photos, all does and fawns. So I found a deer carcass in the woods and decided I would put a camera on it to see what kinds of predators I could get. The pictures below will tell the rest of the story. the only coyote photo fox Some nice bucks

  10. I feel sorry for the Sabers players that are going to get beat up more in the third...the B's get real nasty when they are loosing like this. The good thing is you guys will only be like 11 points out of 8th with this win and the Bruins will still be in first..lol

  11. The Summit Viper I use has a serrated area that contacts the tree on the stand side and a cable that goes around the tree. I think that makes for a much more solid hold than the blade style ones. You dont need to penetrate the bark much to get a nice, secure hold. The smooth bark trees are fine if you are careful, and they are dry, but get a little moisture on there or try to climb too quickly, and you might be going for a ride.

  12. The first thing I would do is go to the family attorney (who was county judge for 30 years), grab him, and then take him to my financial advisor. I'd sit down, draw up a trust to house the money, and lay it ALL out before spending a dime - except for fees to both men. Then I'd proceed to claim it via the trust so my name is not attached to it (avoid calls/threats/robberies/long-lost family members). From there, the well-planned administration of the the trust will let me know how much I spend per year based on my life expectantcy while still allowing for firm value to be transferred to my wife/kids, etc. The gap between super rich and middle class is growing. If I can ensure my family line will be better off, then I will do so first. For example, if it were a large sum per year (this would have to be likely 5 million plus total post-tax winnings), then I would consider setting up college or trade school funds for the kids and relative's kids. My personal finances would be address based on advisement of my advisors (ie tax deductible loan payments/interest, etc.). Only then, once I had a clear picture of what the winnings would allow, would I make a plan to spend money. Iowa, Kansas, Illinois, and Ohio would likely be on the short list for property purchases - all have quality hunting and the timing of some seasons vary so I'd be able to hunt extensively. That an a cottage on a lakeside. If it were a mega-win (100+ million). I seriously consider giving away a portion of it for causes...my alma mater high school, a few people who I know are struggling but are deserving, and I'd love to give money to maybe St. Jude's or something of the sort that helps kids with health issues. I also don't play the lottery often...sooooo....

  14. If I won massive amounts, I would definitely begin to plan many many trips and attempt to complete the North American Slam. I believe there are 32 species.
