  4. the teacher should have his/her life run through the ringer. I would love to see the NRA step up and take him/her on. Abuse of power and does not deserve to teach.

  6. Well, this report shows the NYS really over stepped everything !!!!!!! I think we be looking at Bye-Bye to alot of people in the NY Goverment Buffalo, NY (WBEN) In State Supreme Court, the attorney for a man whose pistol permit was temporarily revoked says records from the Erie County Clerk's office were unsealed. Jim Tresmond says the records show State Police had their man, his client in their sights all along. Tresmond says Judge Russell Buscaglia signed the subpoena order to have Erie County Clerk Chris Jacobs hand over the records regarding David Lewis, Tresmond's client. "The records reflect the New York State Police had Mr. Lewis' name, date of birth, pistol permit application, date of birth, mental health history," says Tresmond. "The notion the State Police simply provided Erie County Clerk Chris Jacobs with a name and age range and required Jacobs to do due diligence was patently false." Tresmond notes Jacobs was fully cooperative with him during this matter, and now will take what he calls "quite condeming" evidence toward a civil matter against the state and State Police for gross negligence. "The state not only denied Mr. Lewis his property rights and due process, but slandering him and defaming him as being mentally incompetent," explains Tresmond. "Never in my lifetime have I seen an entire state administration so negligent and delinquent in the performance of their duties." http://www.wben.com/Attorney--Records-Show-State-Police-Targeted-Man-f/16137623

  8. With the depth of work you're doing, don't overlook the condition of the fuel tank(s). As it's an '89 the tank is probably galvanized construction. I had a problem with leaking fittings that connected the fuel line to the tank, in addition to corrosion on the bottom of the tank where water had pooled. If you can get your hands on the tank I'd suggest changing it, you can do it yourself and it's not a budget buster. Take a good look, last thing you want is to restore your boat and smell fuel in the bilge which is a major safety issue. Good Luck!

  16. This is my 12 year old son Luke on his first turkey hunt with his Uncle Kevin. Unfortunately I was unable to be with him due to work commitments, but he had the time of his life with his uncle and it was a pretty special day for his uncle too, because Luke shot this beauty on his sons birthday. His son passed away 10 years in a motorcycle accident. They both said that Kevin Jr. Put that turkey in front of them to shoot. They started out the morning going to Uncle Kevin's hunting spot and about 15 minutes into the hunt they heard a Tom in his roost. It came down from its roost and into the field approximately 15 yards away. Now this was a big boy, 12 inch beard and 2 inch spurs, but he never presented a head shot there was a branch in the way. Then some hens came into the field and he strutted away following the hens. They took a a mid morning break for some hot chocolate and coffee and went to a different spot and that is when they spotted this nice jake about 30 yards away. Luke picked up his 12 gauge Ted Wiiliams shotgun and with ace precision took his first turkey. Not bad for a first the jake had a 4 inch beard and less than 1:2 inch spurs and weighed approximately 14 lbs. Needless to say i think he's hooked for life. Hopefully next year I will be able to experience this with him on the next youth season. We are going to make it a family tradition to hunt with his uncle Kevin.

  17. Today I was really on the edge............... I took a walk in a pretty swampy area! I made it back OK but believe me, I was on pins & needles. Although it was only about 40 degrees and all the bad critters should have been snozzing, I still kept my eyes peeled for snakes, spiders, wasps, hornets, cougars & grizzly. I probably should have had a walking stick but I felt pretty confident in NOT taking one after reading all the previous posts and great tips. Phewwwwwwwww. Pass the Bud Light................................................
