Nice afternoon in woods. Had a single doe come in around 6:20 behind me. She ran off after a bit. About 20 minutes later a big doe came in with a fawn. They stayed just out of range right in front of me. It got dark and when I got down they spooked and she blew a few times. That was unfortunate. Great to be back in the woods and having that first deer come in!!

I have a lifetime supply of ammo for all my guns loaded up and ready to go. I don't like the tactics that NYS is conjuring up to frustrate and harass gun owners out of using our guns. So quite a while ago, I decided to insulate myself against their anti-gun activities. I knew that ammunition was their next target.

I went out yesterday evening, neighbor kids were rippin atvs and dirbikes behind me about 75-100 yards. These deer don’t care where I was hunting , had 3 doe come out right from where they were riding at 6:15 action like nothing was going on.m walking right under me, passed. Also saw three hens which I havnt seen turkeys in a couple years in this spot, excited about that.

That is just plain and simple harassment. NYS has found a lot of ways to deny 2nd amendment protections for gun owners.

I’ve even had them just lie down and take a nap. My camera is set up on a well used deer trail.

I think it should be a big deal. First I am against the background check for ammo. But more importantly you could almost always get a background check in a few minutes at a gun shop. Now another step has been added to benefit the state of NY and to slow down the entire process. I can just about imagine the addition work load for the State Police.

Not by me. I also saw it coming and had plenty of ammo and reloading supplies until the house fire destroyed it all. It is just sad that the majority of gun owners won't stand up for their rights or even go out and vote.

I just used a Ziploc and my back tag holder I don't need anymore, worked fine, I mobile reported my doe before I even left the property too. was pretty easy.

I had 7 turkeys come off the hill and walked across our yard. Quite spectacular since we usually don't have a large population of turkeys here. I have not seen a lot of deer yet. Of course with all the leaves still on, it's not easy to see much of anything.

Take a ride just over to non-communist Pennsylvania. I went to Dunham’s a couple weeks ago in Bradford and they had every caliber you can imagine. A lots of sales on ammo as well.

I went to a gun store up in g r he Northern zone whdd ed n we were visiting the in-laws during Labor Day weekend. My brother in law, a retired state trooper, got his background check back in about 5 minutes for his ammo purchase. We waited for around a half hour for mine and it did not come back in that time. I only had (2) boxes of 12 ga slugs, and a box of 50 cal ML bullets and sleeves. We had to go, so I left the two boxes of slugs there on shelf. They let me walk out with just the ML bullets. Hopefully, my background check comes back, by the next time I go up there during early ML week, (starts October 19). Otherwise, I’ll see if they will let me take an equivalent amount in dollars of ML bullets, and I’ll just but my other ammo on out of state road trips.

I crack up at these big name personalities-stars and politicians scrambling about, and tossing their endorsements to the various political candidates. Like it is going to influence who I vote for-NOT!!!. My votes go to the party whose candidate and policies support "ME" and my outdoor life style. REPUBLICAN all the way down the line! Al

I just sent off to Amazon for these clear plastic ID holders, the tag should easily fit inside and can be zip tied to the Deer and they were cheap. Al
