Hey shout out to my Brother in law Mark over in Schuylar county! I have been hunting with him for 35 years or so. We went to a traditional bow shoot in PA last summer it was great. He ordered a stick bow and practiced with it a lot this summer. All came together this morning. 18 yard heart shot on a big doe. So proud of him!!!!!!

Cool morning. Yearling buck following a doe. Did a scrape.

Hunted today. This morning I got busted getting down from the stand. This afternoon was great saw 9 Doe and 2 Buck. 2 Buck were a 6 and 4 pt. Doe and fawn come in. Fawn is eating acorns doe is wondering away. She gets 100 yards in front of the fawn. Fawn still eating acorns not even looking in her direction. Doe leaves now here come two buck. They walk up to the fawn and follow the path the Doe took. The fawn followed the bucks back to her mother. It was interesting. I also peed off the stand with a deer 30 yards from me. She looked my way heard the sound but was not alarmed. It was a great night until another Doe and fawn came in. Mom wasn't happy and started blowing. Never heard a deer blow so much. I was half way up the hill and she was still at it. Going to give that stand a rest..lol

It's warm and windy but here I am up in a tree on the hill. I don't expect much but thought maybe they are moving before the heavy rains in the area show up around 8. I just like being out here. Have seen 3 turkeys so far. Sent from my moto g power (2022) using Tapatalk

Been hammering the Squirrels pretty good, one of the best seasons in quite a while, knocked one off with the Christensen Arms Ranger this morning. The Squirrel skinning jig I picked up last summer has been working out great. Al

I am not much for Deer hunting when it is warm out, I like to take advantage of this nice weather small game hunting. With the overly long Deer seasons we have here in NY there will be plenty of time left to get out and kill one when the weather is a bit cooler. Al

It is an accomplishment for sure and one he deserves to be proud of. Al

I don't know when this country is going to wake up. The government is offering these people who lost everything $750 because they used FEMA money on illegal aliens, no wait they're not all illegal Biden granted parole to hundreds of thousands like the ones from Haiti and Venezuela and flew them here at our expense. It's not Biden or Harris It's the Democrats. The president can't ruin our country alone, his party is as guilty as he is.

Evening sit in 7s Saw a spike, 2 doe and 4 fawns. On my way outa there was 20 doe/fawns in the neighbors yards. Never seen this many fawns as this year. Ever doe has 2-3 it seems. Really need to thin some doe out, youth hunters gonna help out sat hopefully.

Pretty good morning, went south of the border. Saw deer every hour almost on the hour. Left at 10 and they were still up but have some stuff to do. Might go out in the evening. I hope my son can get this lil guy with a jacked up right side. Coulda shot all the doe within 25 yards eating apples. 7 doe/fawns 1 lil buck

Been using the conventional hot seats while hunting for many years, they can become a bit uncomfortable if sitting on a cold log or wet ground for extended periods of time. I am going to try and give my Butt a break with a bit better seat this season so I picked up something different to try. Used it a couple of times Squirrel hunting and it is pretty good so far. Al

Didn't hunt yesterday afternoon. Just checked cell pictures and had two nice bucks come by one of the stands at 6:00 pm last night. Oh well, the boys still hanging together.

I will be heading to Geneseo in another hour . Right now I have a headache and a pain in my back . I hope the back pain isn't the kidney stone acting up . Two of my sons and a grandson will be hunting the property with me . I just hope the deer won't be hiding in the corn all day !

Steve I feel your pain. I'm sure what you are describing is horrific. Being I went through this also, not to the extent you did, I just want to share how it went for me. Again Insurance agent was State Farm. There on call agent for fire called me and said go get a hotel, 3 meals a day and don't worry we will cover it. I told him I was ok in the house. The adjuster showed up the next day at 9 am. We spent 15 minutes together and I left for work. He had the whole thing worked out with claim by 3 pm. It was actually a document sent to me. Every spelled out correctly and a value on the claim. I was amazed. Don't ever try to cheat on square footage, they had satelight pictures of my place and and square footage. You must be dealing with a pretty crappy company. Sorry for that.

Just started to get a few showers. Headed to the blind. A few came out before it started.
