  1. Its been a while since i’ve posted anything on here, but I figured this warranted it. I just got back from an 8 day trip to the Northern Alberta and got my first Bull elk!! What an ADVENTURE! 70 mile quad rides (half in the dark) into the bush, run ins with moose and grizzly bears, spending 6 days with a native tracker and learning bush craft… it was truly remarkable Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  2. Been hammering the Squirrels pretty good, one of the best seasons in quite a while, knocked one off with the Christensen Arms Ranger this morning. The Squirrel skinning jig I picked up last summer has been working out great. Al

  3. Went to Geneseo property with my son and grandson . I saw 2 big doe with the light from my ATV . i was in a stand in the woods by 6:15 . It was dark ! sat there until 11am and headed back to my car . We all sacked out for a while . I am no longer use to getting up at 3am to hunt . I had changed stands and sat overlooking a laneway , two corn fields and a gully lot . I had parked my ATV about 15 feet away from me at the laneway dead end . I saw a doe and 2 fawns behind me in the gully lot . They milled around and headed for the corn on my SILs property . Later I saw 3 fawns coming to the laneway one by one . two of them stopped and stared at my ATV . They came about 10 yards from my stand and never looked up . I was waiting for their mama but that didn't happen . Left when it got dark and headed for home 50 miles away .

  5. And a thick full tail. But has that narrow yote nose. I say a very big, perfect specimen of the coyote.

  8. Was out for a little while this morning, decided to change things up some and use a handgun. The Smith and Wesson model 17 masterpiece is one of my favorites and one of the first handguns I purchased. It is very accurate and I used it one whole season for Bullseye competition shooting. Alas these days my eyes and shooting ability are not what they used to be, I had two misses before I scored but it was great to get the old revolver out and give her some love. Al

  10. Missed a doe about 20 minutes ago at about 30 yards. I got down after they left the area and found the arrow no blood or hair so like I thought clean miss that's good. It's Alot better than having wounded her with a bad shot. Sent from my moto g power (2022) using Tapatalk

  11. It's warm and windy but here I am up in a tree on the hill. I don't expect much but thought maybe they are moving before the heavy rains in the area show up around 8. I just like being out here. Have seen 3 turkeys so far. Sent from my moto g power (2022) using Tapatalk

  14. Hey shout out to my Brother in law Mark over in Schuylar county! I have been hunting with him for 35 years or so. We went to a traditional bow shoot in PA last summer it was great. He ordered a stick bow and practiced with it a lot this summer. All came together this morning. 18 yard heart shot on a big doe. So proud of him!!!!!!

  15. I definitely will be going after the squirrels in our area. They stripped every pear off my two pear trees. I want revenge. By the way, my wife asked a question about what the squirrels did with all those pears. Do they try to store them like nuts? It seems that that would not really work out all that well. On the other hand if they ate all that they took off my trees, they would be laying on their backs with their bellies about to explode. By the way, I know it was squirrels because I saw them doing it.
