  1. Are you talking about the number on the box, or is there a number on the bottom of the stripper?
  2. I don't see the id number. Pic is too poor. Doc, the stripper clip is designed to speed load a magazine. You take that strip of bullets and push it straight down in to the MAGAZINE. That is where the incorrect term (clip) for a magazine came from.
  3. Wow. I didn't see the movie yet, but did read the book. I don't think it is a glorification of war, it is reality, that's what happened. Those guys deserve to be "worshipped". Were you in the service?
  4. I work up loads by half grain increments, even less with my precision stuff. If you want to work up 1 grain at a time, once you find which load your rifle likes, increase and decrease by half a grain to fine tune. If your rest is solid and your shooting form is good, 3 shot groups is fine. Once you find the accuracy node, then you can fine tune some more with the overall length of the cartridge. Usually the bullet seated as close to the lands as possible will give the best accuracy. The 90gr Nosler Accubond is what I recommend for big game. And the 70 gr. Ballistic Tip for varmints. I've sent hundreds of prairie dogs and woodchucks to varmint heaven with that bullet.
  5. Did the bullets exit? He stood in that spot for 15 minutes before the first shot? How did you get the meat home?
  6. Nice bull. That's a bonus you have it on video. Tough animals. How many times was he hit, and what bullet did you use?
  7. I agree. But don't take anyones word for it on the internet. We are talking about potentially dangerous stuff here. Go by the manual. You should have no problem with most bullets with that twist. What bullet are you thinking of using? I'm assuming you are loading for big game.
  8. No such thing as Nosler partition ballistic tips. The partition and ballistic tip are totally different. Shawnhu, I load for the .243 as well. It's pointless to say what shoots well out of my gun because every bullet and load shoots different out of different guns. Also, what my gun handles, as far as pressure, and what your gun can handle, could be very different. Always start low and work up. I can say IMR 4350 is the go to powder for most bullets weights. What twist is your rifle?
  9. So true. Any way to get over on "the man".
  10. Yup, I'm usually out at least 3 times a week. Slamming the geese hard. Not suppose to rain till the afternoon I heard.
  11. WNYbuckhunter. Where do you find the time to argue so many different topics on this forum?
  12. He's done more bad than good. I'm not thanking that prick for anything.
  13. Even if you let the action slam closed, it can come out of battery easily. There is an article on it in the latest Shooting Times magazine where Benelli knew it was a problem and fixed it with the new ETHOS shotgun. Its called the easy locking system. I'm not making this up. Do a internet search on the " benelli click".
  14. Don't know Lawdwaz, Lucky maybe? I could only report my experiences. I used to guide, so I have seen it happen to a bunch of different guys guns. My buddy who I hunt with A LOT for ducks and geese has it happen all the time. At least 6 times this season alone. Conservatively, I have probably seen it happen 20 plus times. With multiple SBE's. Even Benelli acknowledges the problem. There new shotgun addresses that issue of coming out of battery. Nothing worse than freezing your azz off, waiting patiently, and when it comes time to shoot, nothing. He watches me double and triple all the time with my Beretta Xtrema.
  15. Hands down the Beretta. That SBE comes out of battery very easily and will not fire. Can't tell you how many times I have seen it happen. My buddy is looking to sell his SBE right now if favor of the Beretta for that reason. Also, the Beretta, which is a gas system rather than the inertia, will recoil less.
  16. All I know is every time I go over the throgs neck and George Washington bridges in the automated ezpass lane, I get charged a few dollars extra. I have been doing it for years, I get charged every time. How they know? No idea.
  17. I don't remember exactly, but I usually get charged another $5 for my little trailer or my camper. Same thing. Is that the max amount? Don't know. I don't trailer enough to get a separate ezpass.
  18. Yes. Just drive right through with your trailer. It can tell you have a trailer and they will charge you accordingly. No big deal.
  19. Ok Early, I'm convinced. You just like to be a douche. Good job, your very good at it.
  20. Yes, that's what you need, small game license, hip #, and duck stamp. Make sure you sign across the stamp. And don't take my, or anyone else on the internets word for it, read the regs.
