  1. I always think the same thing when someone "accidently" gets shot mistaken for a turkey. Unbelievable.
  2. Great pics, you really get some great out of the ordinary pics. You must spend a lot of time out there.
  3. My guess would be low 130's, hard to tell from one pic. But who cares, it's a nice buck. People get way too hung up on numbers these days.
  4. Nice pic. Beautiful drake hoodie in there.
  5. I've used them a few times. Comes in a jar, mix two parts and shoot. Pretty good explosion depending on how much you use.
  6. http://www.grindtv.com/outdoor/nature/post/deer-thought-to-be-roadkill-springs-to-life-from-open-car-trunk/
  7. I had mine built by amish. They came from Ohio to the catskills and built it in 2 days. I was very happy with their work and price. Srry, can't remember the name. If it comes to me I will post it.
  8. Exactly, the police can't always be right there.
  9. I'm sure those people going to see a movie in Colorado didn't think they needed a weapon that day. I know what I would have done if I was in that theater, as I am always armed. What would you have done Virgil?
  10. Love the pics and the videos. Amazing the speed of the dive. I just found a injured redtail about an hour ago. He just let me pick him up, I have some rescue people coming to get him.
  11. Saw that a couple years ago. I believe it's British Columbia. Very hungry yote I guess.
  12. Dam, I was just about to answer that. I was looking for a night on the town! I think they did away with COBIS a year or so ago. I bought a couple new pistols when it was still in effect.
  13. That is a bunch of BS. Coming from someone who has actually done it, that is not how we hunt them. Also, the hounds we hunt with were not trained the way mentioned. We hunt only land that we have permission. Huge pieces because almost everyone gives permission to hunt coyotes where we hunt in Delaware county. We also don't even start to hunt them until deer season is completely over, not starting october like someone mentioned. Nobody shoots to intentionally wound a coyote, almost all are killed by the shooters. Occasionally one will bay up and will get killed by the dogs, but rarely. The dogs are released on a fresh track, hopefully after a fresh snow. Dogs do have gps collars so the handler knows exactly where they are and whats going on. Once they jump one you can hear the differnce in the hounds. The coyotes will usually start to circle and we get shooters in position for the shot. Sometimes the dogs are right on the coyote, most times the coyote is out ahead quite a bit. Not very different than rabbit hunting. Most landowners are more than happy to let us coyote hunt on their property, it's the only way to really control them besides trapping.
  14. That is f----ing hysterical! Think I would have have tried the trunk but, good for him!
  15. I do a lot of waterfowl hunting on long island. I make jerky out of all the puddle ducks and geese, and won't even shoot divers. The best ones to eat are teal and wooduck, those I won't jerky. And yes, I have eaten bufflehead and they weren't good. Fast little buggers though.
  16. I can't go anywhere for a while, BUT, If I could, it would be Wyoming, Montana or Texas. Whenever I go hunt/visit those states I never want to come back to NY. I don't love NY.
  17. Looks great! Very similiar to mine. We should start a man cave thread.
  18. Indoor3d.com. Check it out, great indoor place to shoot. It's in Calverton.
  19. That's what I figured grey beard. I was told the same thing years ago. It is run by Cornell and is county property. The woods adjacent to that are not the same property.
  20. Hey Greybeard, was that place that the deputy told you to not hunt off exit 66 LIE? I hunt crows quite a bit and used to hunt there.
  21. Wow, a bunch of mostly untrue generalizations. Most people that have a problem with law enforcement are loser criminals who blame thier lowly lives on the people enforcing the laws that they can't abide by. After reading some of your ridiculous posts, you probably are the same.
