  1. Glad you made it out safely. If you remember i fell back in August 2021, and bones dont heal as fast as they used. If your ribs still hurt after 2 days, I recommend going in for an xray, you will be surprised.
  2. Just heard from farmer in 8H/N area that DEC is also searching for a ring of poachers between Livingston & Ontario county. They have found 12 bucks with heads cut off in the farmer fields
  3. Many yrs ago, I saw a youtube video where the hunter shot a buck in rut 3-4 times , all vital hits and that buck still kept going. So yeh nothing is set in stone.
  4. Congrats, now you have a target for the coming weekend
  5. Which lithium batteries did you purchase and from where that give you 12v?
  6. In the heat of the moment sometimes our eyes play tricks.. I could have sworn I shot a doe too far forward and then saw it drop in 30yds. The shot was in the V , some how my eyes/brain saw it hitting way forward
  7. i have never even been to the park, so will be an interesting adventure for sure.
  8. Very nice, good luck. I got their gun season permit, will try my luck next week.
  9. Hey you put that in code, some of the young ones don't know how to read cursive. lol thx for posting though
  10. Believe it or not the little havalon can take the front and rear legs off at the knee joint area.
  11. He looks super happy, why is his fly open Congrats on the buck too
  12. IMHO Dogs only help if the deer is dead, if its up and moving, dogs will push it even more.
  13. agreed, but at the same time I have seen dead deer run half mile
  14. Thats a dead deer , you just have to grid search it now.
  15. Hopefully you are gutting and dragging it now.
  16. I will disagree regarding the need for a saw.. there is never a need for a saw. Every bone-joint can be separated using just the knife, I use the cheap but quality mora knives. 2 sharp knives take care of the deer from skinning to deboning. Do not use the same knife for skinning/trimming fat and deboning and cleaning the meat. For deboning meat and trimming use clean fresh fillet knife and you will be happy.
  17. Look up a few Youtube videos and follow along. Do a couple and eventually you get them right.
  18. only ones left that ship to NY residents
