  1. I would highly recommend "The Boys" in Amazon Prime. A super dark take on the superhero genre. Best part is if you have prime, it's included.
  2. I think OP referring to the rentals of Universal's "in theaters" films. They did this right as the theaters started closing, taking what was in the big screen and offering it digitally for a $20 rental.
  3. Yeah, Universal released some "In Theater" movies for $20 rentals. Smart move on their part since they were going to flip with theaters closing. I guess if you really wanted to see something in theaters, it's not a terrible deal, plus, you don't have to smuggle in your own concessions...
  4. I've got to be honest, every time this thread pops up on my "New" list I think..."That's too bad, who was Tight Lee?"
  5. All I can think is how off topic this thread got. We started out discussing a possible pandemic, and we end up fighting over a large pecker. Maybe this is a reflection of our true nature...
  6. Where exactly are you supposed to walk your dog if not at Lowes?
  7. I'm sure Donald Trump' and Faux News' spin on a 25% mortality would be something like "A large majority of people who get sick don't die and recover, nothing to worry about." The spin goes both ways
  8. Whoa there Fido I'm pretty sure he was trying to be witty there, that's not a real headline. I know you hate the media, but call of the attack dogs.
  9. Congratulations! Enjoy shooting it, and good luck hunting!
  10. Getting ready to start the behemoth that is Stephen King's "The Stand", all 1700 pages of it. Seems like a fitting time to give it a go.
  11. @ApexerER, I saw this on Facebook this morning and thought of you my friend. Take care of yourself and stay well.
  12. I'll have to get dressed in my Tyvek suit and come down to say hi Apexer. By the way, it's looking incredibly likely that our spring 10 week shooting sports course is going to get cancelled. Oh well, I hope we are good for the fall course....
  13. I'm assuming the Ken Burns documentary. A great production, he was really able to identify the men and women who shaped their particular era of this great genre of music. I heard a lot of people who were upset that they didn't spend much time on one artist or another, but I thought it was a well thought out timeline of country music. I agree in your final point, a lot of the pop-electronic stuff that's on the radio today is a disgrace to the genre.
  14. Sounding better and better. I'm going to try to post some stuff on the band Facebook page, some of my songs and some covers over the next few weeks. I know my guitar player and our female lead singer are going to try to do a live acoustic show sometime as well (they live together so not really a gathering). This whole not gigging thing is bumming me out. When we are busy I swear I'd rather do anything than pick up a guitar, but it doesn't take long to realize how much I need it.
  15. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't half tempted. A few more weeks and I might be making a trip South Thanks for the comic relief Grampy, Lord knows we all need it
  16. I will honestly say, that even though Trump can't keep his trap shut, it does seem like he knows he's in over his head and is letting people who know what they are doing take over. He is incredibly lucky to have Fauci on the team, that guy seems to be the leader we need right now. I just hope Trump can stay out of his way.
  17. Nope, I know it's not specific to the brand, probably a mix of the convenience of it compared to the gym and being home. I'm not a competitive person at all, but am pretty intrinsically motivated, I like to push myself toward a goal, as dumb as it sounds, there are a lot of badges and challenges incorporated to keep you pushing. They also have the leaderboard if you are competitive. I was really in the fence, and wouldn't have even thought about getting one of it weren't for my wife wanting one. However, I don't regret it a bit.
  18. So, just a quick check-in on this. We got our Peloton bike a little over 2 weeks ago, and since all of the gyms are closed, I'm glad we did. I haven't missed a day since we got it, I try to do 2 rides a day, 1 class, and 1 scenic ride, burning 500-600 calories on it per day. As of this morning, I'm down 8lbs, and did have to take my belt in a notch today. If anyone was on the fence about one, I would recommend it.
  19. I'm working from home and watching my daughter. My wife's vet clinic is still open, and she's my real tether to what's going on. While I'm moaning because I shouldn't go to the store to buy beer, they are dressing in gowns and masks to do curbside appointments. Today they had a hospital call and ask if they could donate gloves, masks and cleaning supplies. When they say we were unprepared, that's what they are talking about, not a lack of toilet paper. Small, rural hospitals are already feeling it, and we are nowhere near peak. All I can think is that we had almost 3 months to prepare, and now we are out of basic medical supplies. The most annoying thing is that there is a subset of people who won't listen to the plea to limit contact. I really hope we don't end up in a situation like Italy, and if we do, it's our own fault.
