No kidding. Come November im sure they will be miles away. Fun to watch now though. However, i did kill two bucks last year i had on camera. Only one picture each. Nocturnal pictures to boot. And a half mile apart.

Some nice ones out back tonight. Sticker 12 and big show graced me with their presence. Even had a doe or two in the mix. Cant wait for November....

Corned venison is delicious. I learned its best to inject the marinade into the meat so you don't get any grey streaks. Much more even product. Taking it to the next level (pastrami) is on my list.

My new favorite way to eat venison. It blew my mind. Cant wait to make a breakfast sandwich tomorrow with it.

Smoked a venison roast over cherry wood until it hit 125* then Pulled it off and rested it for a few hours in foil. Went into the fridge over night then i sliced it up. Beyond delicious, so much better than store bought roast beef. Making philly cheese steakes tonight with onions and shrooms.

Im definitely no milsurp expert. When i hear clip i think enbloc clip and it said on the can 8 round. My mind went right to Garand. It would make sense to have the carbine be loaded with stripper clips for war. Very cool little rifles I wouldn’t mind having one!

Ive been searching for a finger groove walnut stocked sporter for years. One day ill get me one.

Platform is built for the new blind. Next weekend ill put the blind up. I built the platform oversized so i can set the blind up right in place.

I was curious if it had the walnut stock. Either way great guns i have four of them.

Ok i thought so. He asked about the m1 carbine which is a different gun. Still takes a 30 caliber bullet but is a different cartridge all together. The M1 carbine has a detachable box magazine so the ammo wouldn’t be loaded into ”clips”. Very cool find nonetheless. Your getting a 10/22 as well?

I have heard that. Id love to try the real deal. One day i will make it across the pond. Guinness can be like a meal thats for sure.

That is 30-06 ammo that is safe to shoot in the Garand.

Unfortunately i cant answer that. Im targeting those weeds in an apple orchard so im looking to kill everything.

Those weeds are a pain in my ass. We spray constantly on my farm to kill them.

Guns from those years are of much better quality than whats made today. They usually cost more too. There is a reason for that. Prime example are the pre-64 winchester model 70s

Must not be as thick and swampy. Horsefly bites leave some wicked welts so do the sweat flys

Cool shirt. Cant be out in the woods around here with shorts and short sleeves. Bugs will carry you away. They laugh at a thermacell.
