    Its just a piece of black iron 1 1/4 pipe i had laying around. It came with mounts to attach it to a track to slide it. The pipe fits inside it perfectly. So much easier than the wood deal i was going to build.

    Hung this bad boy up today. No more pulling a rope to hoist up deer. Rope and pulley worked great for years but we were all ready for something easier. Picked it up at harbor freight for 99$. 440 pound capacity, should work great for deer. Although the first one i bought was faulty and i needed to exchange it.

    It was a terrible growing season this year In my area. We’re probably 6 inches low on the water table. We haven’t had two inches of rain since may. A lot of people’s wells are dry around here, hasn't been an easy summer.

    Ok 160 -170 thats about on track. He must have lost a ton of weight. Big woods deer are a total different animal I suppose.

    Yes. I doubt he was a 250 pound 5 or 6 year old deer. A beautiful specimen nonetheless. Places in ny are very underrated and a well kept secret.

    Giant rack but body size doesn’t equate. Looks a little thin to me.

    My grandmother lives in okeechobee. She has a spot at the Big O. Good luck with your hunts here in ny. Lots of good places to hunt in this state.

    Wow.50 cal pistols, ive seen smaller ones like .36 cal. That thing must bark.

    Id love to use one of my .357 mags. No scopes open sights.

    Using butcher paper helps keeps bark intact, while foil tends to be softer texture.
