  1. I decided to stay with an all carbon arrow for my upgrade. I’ve narrowed it down to the Victory RIP TKO and the Easton Axis 5mm. Does anyone have any recommendations or experience with both/either?
  2. The Tactacam Reveal has a “check-in” option that takes and sends a picture every 12 hours when enabled.
  3. I went with the LEM #12. Thanks for the input!
  4. Mostly fields and grass or is there a summer delicacy that they pursue?
  5. Where do bucks hang out in the summer? I'm only getting does and fawns on mine...
  6. So the truth comes out… you supply tires to journalists covering criminal trial proceedings. Settled.
  7. No! Blinders aren’t the solution!
  8. @Nomad's seashell collection was almost as shocking as this board's predilection for fruit flavored beers...
  9. Who would’ve guessed, you’re a skilled aesthetician!
  10. This is the trippiest thread on huntNY, to date. I love it.
  11. Recognizing the reality of a global pandemic (truly an absurd point to have to make) is altogether a different matter than recognizing the burdens of an inevitable shift to alternative energy sources. The latter will be a slow and hopefully carefully managed transition. It seems like your quarrel is with certain policies that you feel have disproportionately impacted gas prices. You say they raised prices during a pandemic but of course the administration doesn’t have a gas price dial in the Oval Office. Surely you recall that barrel prices dropped to the negative values last year. Don’t underestimate the impact of futures trading and OPEC policy failures in the price volatility that we’ve seen. But your point will be relevant when we eventually start to shift away from oil. What will happen to poor families that can’t afford high gas prices before alternative and affordable options are widespread? If I had to choose, I would pick government subsidizing these families over oil executives.
  12. Maybe too many heavy metals but I’m failing to see my flip flopping…. There’s no excusing on my part. There are facts about global shortages.
  13. Lithium? I bet many on this board would benefit But that’s the point, if the US continues to heavily subsidize the oil industry, we’ll continue to see a lack of investment (and appetite) for alternatives. I don’t think I need to spell out for you how work stoppages and increased demand for certain materials have choked global supply lines and that we’ll continue to see shortages for years to come…
  14. I guess we have a fraught relationship with predators. Parts of the Catskills have a September rifle season for bear. I assume there’s some overcapacity data behind that decision…
  15. I am not going to pretend to have nuanced insight to the determinants of prices at the pump. Certainly a vast array of converging factors, including polices made by the administration, will contribute. The unpopular position is that there will be growing pains if we're ever to transition to alternative energy sources. We have been artificially suppressing gas prices for far too long. Let's even out the playing field on this one and let the market work its magic.
  16. It takes a deplorable level of ignorance to suggest that a pandemic wasn't actually real on a board where numerous folks have shared the pain of having lost loved ones to the virus. It take a repugnant level of cowardice to hide behind quotations rather than saying exactly what you think. But of course, you have no coherent opinion about why the pandemic would be in quotes. You just know that Alex Jones and Fox and Friends use a funny voice when they say "pandemic."
  17. I don’t share your pathological need to fantasize that particular politicians care about me. And yes, leave your limp-wristed attempts at denying the pandemic out of the vaccine thread.
  18. Jesus, pandemic in quotations? You really are an Alex Jones conspiracist. The border situation continues to be a humanitarian crisis that presents no threat to you in any way. Find another bogeyman.
  19. Who told you that, Alex Jones? It’s not as if a global pandemic that crippled manufacturing and supply lines across the world could have had an impact on price volatility. Yeah, keep looking around.
  20. Is NY past carrying capacity? What would such advocacy look like?
  21. Keep your fingers crossed! If US rolls back recommendations for children you may just get your 70% without having to modify with “18 and up.”
  22. With children now eligible to receive the vaccine, the denominator has really blown up. The 1st shot rate for 18 and up is currently at 66% and we still have a couple of weeks until the 4th. Regardless, isn’t it great to discuss the impact of Biden being a couple percentage points off the mark? Politics should be boring. Good riddance to Trump!
  23. Banned? This is my first year in the trail cam game!
