  1. I want to hear more about these object-in-anus murders, lol. We have a few hospital administrators on the forum. Maybe they can provide some de-identified data on the matter? ...I wonder if there's something here about the difference between consenting to anal penetration vs not consenting to being penetrated by a bullet. That said, I shot my first AR last week at hogs at night and I get it.
  2. I made some tonight too. Forgot to take a pic
  3. In Peru? Wait, don’t tell me there’s a Lima, NY....
  4. Haha! You know I pushed back a bit and he said he wears them. But then again, he’s in the woods just about daily...
  5. Found another one. This one’s opening looks too small for a raccoon. It was near water.
  6. I have 8’ Danners that I wear when I go hunting. I get into some pretty nasty stuff looking for critters. In the off season I’m by the water a lot and in the woods training my dog. I don’t usually think of snakes and I’ve only encountered a couple, one of which was venomous (it rattled). I’m going south for a boar hunt in a few weeks and the outfitter recommends snake boots. I’m trying to decide whether I should go that route or if my Danners or rubber boots would suffice. Anybody have experience with snake encounters and/or recommendations for snake boots that would tip the balance in that direction? Thanks
  7. I didn’t know they could be found that far south
  8. The idea that you would comply with an unlawful order from a police officer is preposterous. The only way that would even come close to making any sense is if you have absolutely nothing to lose. To bring it full circle, I ask you this. Without nasty picture sharing, what would jerkman have left?
  9. Not just race. Income, etc. Put it all together and we can call it status. We should all be on these vegan forums. Where else will we recruit new hunters from?
  10. We need to remain cognizant of the fact that not everybody has the luxury to take a slap on the wrist now and litigate later. If you’re poor and/or a minority in this country, entering the legal system can have profound consequences to your life. Even going to court for something as minor as having an expired license or exceeding the speed limit can result in lost wages and perhaps missed meals. If you’re in that position and you know you weren’t speeding, submitting to a police officer and dealing with the consequences later can be really hard. I’ve used my status (and friendly smile) more times than I care to admit to get out of a ticket. When that fails, I’ve paid lawyers to take care of it for me. As we throw our privilege around we should acknowledge the reality that what we may find trivial or inconsequential can be life altering to many folks. A black professor had an unfortunate run in with the police and he documented it. It’s a great read: https://www.stevelocke.com/blog/i-fit-the-description
  11. If you run out of material you can tell them about my Garmin Instinct :)
  12. I love the idea of tough retirees quibbling over what color band goes best with their skin tone or whether a particular model goes best with jeans or Italian wool.
  13. Aww man, you’ve gotta tell us more about this Rolex forum. What do you guys discuss??
  14. It makes no sense that horribly vulgar memes about Harris/Clinton are tolerated on “Today’s Chuckle” yet other slightly indecent posts are considered to cross a line. The key here is to enforce the rules more uniformly. And if you’re going to Moderate don’t engage in silly personally conflicts. 6 weeks till turkey season!!
