  1. Well Done Sir !!!!!! Congrats
  2. I sprayed mine down and set it up in the yard just long enough for it to dry then I put it in the backpack that comes with it and then I put it in a big Trash Bag and sealed it. When I got up to the cabin I took it out of the trash bag and left it out on the porch in the backpack. When I set it up in my spot it came out of the pack scent free. Then I brushed it in real good used the tie downs and tied it to a tree off of each corner of the blind and tightened them up in case it got windy over night. The next morning I was hunting in concealment and comfort. It really works well if you hunt with a buddy because it allows you to get away with movement, it keeps any odor inside and you can talk low if you have to. Remeber to keep the window/door behind you zipped up so you have a dark back drop making it hard for deer to see in the blind. I hope you enjoy your blind this season it's a great way to hunt. I use it with my Father because he can't climb up trees anymore with his back and bad knees and it gives us a good way to enjoy the hunt together. I used to only hunt alone but now I look forward to sharing hunts with him in the blind. The only dilema is when that buck comes walking in who gets to shoot it.
  3. I have the same exact blind. This will be the 3rd season I'm using it and I love it. I've had it out in high wind and pretty heavy rain, it worked great. This year I got a can of water repelant spray it's called Hunt Dri. It's odorless and has no UV brighteners. Some of the seams leak from the needle holes of the stitching. I got a buck out of it last season he was 15 yards from me and never knew what hit him. I got my money's worth out of it and then some. It sets up and breaks down in seconds.
  4. I'm chomping at the bit, I can't wait to get up there. I leave in 2 weeks from today.
  5. Welcome and good luck this season !!!1
  6. I know you mean well but why should there be a law enforcing something that hunters should want to do with out a law. Senseless just like seat belt and motorcycle laws. If people are that dumb not to wear them then so be it.
  7. So how is everyone dealing with this early snowfall ?
  8. very cool vid. But now my neck hurts too !!
  9. The 2nd vid is awesome ! Nice job ! That's a perfect example of how an arrow and broadhead is more devastating than a bullet.
  10. I think you'll be fine. A lot of hunters change sets during the season. Just be careful and quick as possible. I would do it during the middle of the afternoon when most deer activity slows down and be careful about your scent.
  11. I guess some hunters aren't challenged enough with hunting alone they have to make it harder for themselves. I wouldn't waste money or time doing it but I would imagine some hunters just want to document their hunt. I always have a digital camera on me in the woods. Sometimes I like to take a few pics of deer I have no intention of shooting or other wildlife.
  12. I will say mid 120's to 130. Real nice buck
  13. Those Win. Model 12's were a heck of a shotgun and still are one of the slickest pumps around. Second only to the Rem. 870 pump IMO. American Rifleman just did a piece on the model 12. Great shotgun !
  14. I shoot rifled slugs out of my 870 pump with a rifled barrel and I am dead on at 100 yards all day long. I'm also using a receiver mounted 1.75x5 scope. Seems to work well for me.
  15. And the funny thing is culling strange racked or "ugly" bucks will never change the genetics of an area one way or another. A complete farse of qdma.
  16. I've seen sgn of, heard or actually sighted coyote almost every season for years now. I hunt off of rt 42 near Spruceton rd. in Greene county. Where in Greene do you hunt ?
  17. I have a question..... if this was a rule of the club then why didn't the club post nice big sgns at the range that states the range is closed during archery season ? Just asking.
  18. Not sure the reason why but you don't have to display a back tag in Catskill Park either.
  19. Very nice ! Congrats on a successful hunt.
