They have cut trails across my SILs property and hunt during Bow Season . I was in a tree stand years ago and heard the hounds and the horn . A few female riders came near the stand and didn't know I was there . I told them where the rest of the riders were and they thanked me . there was a couple of foxes on horseback ( pretty females ) . What was neat was to see a few deer get pushed out of the woods and I could see that over 600 yards away . Two different fox came across an open field . they would stop , backtrack , jump to the side and go in a different direction . The riders would skirt the field rather than go across it in case there was anything planted . They DON"T kill the fox .

It's pretty much a Tradition and a formality to wear the clothes . Someone would look pretty stupid chasing the fox wearing jeans , a tee shirt and a cowboy hat or camouflage .

Here are a few pics a friend took during a Fox Hunt .... well , maybe the last pic wasn't part of the GVHC

I have them on my Bow arrows as well as the Crossbow bolts . If you don't get a pass through you might find the broken part of the arrow with the lighted nock .
-
Looks like they are hanging together

I might give it a try again after Deer Season . I tried it before and called in some fox but I am not allowed to shoot fox at my sister in laws because they chase them on horseback .

Happy Birthday !

Here are a few more of the Geneseo Yotes

Oh yeah , 2 years ago we had permission to hunt a friend's property in the Marion / Palmyra area . My son went to his double stand opening day to find that someone had removed the bottom section of his stand . They would have been trespassers .

I had gotten some harrassment on West Bloomfield Road . When I was getting ready to hunt or finishing for the day the soccer moms would blast their horn when going by . If only these idiots would stop and think about the deer / car accidents on that road . I had thought at times about calling the Lonsberry show and telling a BS story about not having any luck until some woman in a SUV blared on her horn and a couple of doe popped up in the high grass and I was able to shoot both of them . Then thank the lady with the loud horn for helping me be able to kill 2 deer . Never did it but every once in a while I am tempted to do it . I have had some jerk walk around that same property and see no reason for him to do so . Last year I posted pics of him walking around with his crossbow and smoking a stinky cigarello when it wasn't X-bow season .

I am just glad that it wasn't there when I checked the camera card . My SIL said she had heard them howling in the morning . I don't trap so that would be a no no for me . Seems rather dumb that Coyote season open October 1st same as bow season . It ends March 31 . I don't like sitting out in 10 degree weather with the wind blowing to shoot any yotes .

I did some work for my SIL in Geneseo and then pulled my trail cam cards . This picture was taken about an hour before I pulled the card from the cam . Quite a few pictures of Yotes on the cams .

Poke it with a short stick and then take pictures .....

Not a problem . Usually any bucks that I have had on camera there don't show up during the hunting season . I have no qualms about shooting any doe that come by . That buck probably got lost due to the foggy day .
-
Hope this guy continues to show up . It was a foggy day .
