Going to try a spot in the Mendon - Victor area tomorrow afternoon . It's gonna be a cold one for sure . My son said he hasn't seen much there during gun season and the guys that hunt there have over hunted the property . We'll see .

Those darn hub blinds are a bit tricky folding back up . I will have 2 to wrestle with later this year .

Pygmy - Hope you're getting better and the doctor figures out the cause of your problem . Damn kid , you are only 68

Forget about getting back on track , the tracks buckled ! Discuss what ever your heart desires on this thread . Hey - what about the Mueller investigation ?
-
Nothing wrong ? What happened to the topic about Full Inclusion ? The discussion on the past few pages has nothing to do the the Original Topic ! It has turned into a bullshit session by a few .

This thread has gotten way off track and turned into a BS discussion . I am locking it up !

Today turned out to be a good day . My oldest son and I arrived at the Geneseo property at almost the same time . Noon . Matt headed for the woods and I went to my elevated pond blind stand . It was a bit nippy out and I hadn't seen anything . Matt called me at 4pm and said he hadn't seen anything and didn't care about staying till sunset . He said he would walk through the thickets and see if he could push anything out . 4 doe burst into the north end of the corn field . The lead doe was really hauling butt . The other 3 were running and when they hit the opening . I fired and one of them went down . I could see her flopping in the field at about 130 yards and had to finish her off . A picture of a doe and myself . The red mark in the other picture is where the doe went down .

Bull Hockey . You have your bow in your hand and sitting to shoot . If someone does what you stated , they deserve to get busted . For the crossbow Rest the buttstock on your leg with the forearm on a shooting rail or shooting sticks and there is minimal movement to spook a deer .

Watching her try to pull the bow back is about what I could do when I got out of the hospital .

Are there still hunting shows on TV ?

This thread is about Full Inclusion . Let’s get back on track !

This is the pistol that Lamar (Don Stroud) used in the movie Joe Kidd . Lamarr Simms (Don Stroud) carries a C96 "Broomhandle" Mauser as his weapon of choice in the film, and fits the unique holster/stock combo to the back of the grip to shoulder the pistol like a rifle. Joe Kidd (Clint Eastwood) later uses it when escaping from the bounty hunters, and shows us that in Hollywood a ten shot pistol can fire about 30 rounds and lock empty several times before actually needing to be reloaded.

Maybe I will order a stock for my Ruger .380 LCP .....

Another exciting day in the Great Outdoors . I was in my elevated hub blind stand in Geneseo by 9:30 am and left at 4:25 pm today . Never saw a thing . I would have been just as well off sitting at the computer with my rifle . Neither of my sons saw anything either . Bummer !

I couldn't draw my compounds this season and used the crossbow when legal . I still do not support Full Inclusion .

Went to my friend's property in Walworth to check my trail cameras . I have 5 there but was only able to pull cards from two . The swamp was flooded . I wanted to see if it would be worthwhile to hunt there . The roof on my hub blind was caved in and the roof was filled with water and slush . The only thing that saved it from being destroyed was that I had left a plastic lawn chair inside and the roof hub landed in that . I went back to the pole barn and got a Folgers coffee container , bailed everything out of the roof and popped it back up . I got lucky . The only deer that had gone by was at nighttime .

How accurate were these old range finders
fasteddie replied to Hunter007's topic in General Chit Chat
I still have one of the old type Ranging Range Finder . It was pretty accurate but only had a distance of 75 yards . It worked on a parallax system like the old 35mm cameras to focus .
