    Sitting in my stand in Geneseo. It's raining. The field that I drove the ATV through had been plowed. Wasn't an easy drive. I hope the rain stops soon .my youngest son Nick is sitting in a double chair blind about 300 to 400 yards south of me . Since my 2 trips to the hospital I don't hunt alone .     In the Marines .... we had the M1 which was an awesome rifle . Then they switched over to the M14 which was a piece of crap . I hope this new rifle does the trick .

    Went to my son's property in Honeoye Falls . Sat from 7:45 until noon . saw nothing . Took a break . Back in the stand by 2 pm and sat until 4:34 pm . Saw a neighbor's cat and a red fox . Just another excitig day in the great outdoors . My youngest son and I are going to try an afternoon hunt in Geneseo Sunday afternoon .

    I have to 50 cal NEF Huntsman . It uses the orange primer holders that I find useful as I have arthritis in my fingers . I made an adapter to use with the ramrod so I don't have to mess with the one that comes with the ML . Bought the NEF at the Avon Gun Shop years ago for $135 .

    Still had the powder and bullet in my NEF 50 cal In-Line from last year so I stopped over to our Rod & Gun Club to shoot it . Right on target . Came home , cleaned the barrel and breech plug and reloaded it for tomorrow afternoon's outing . I could have removed the breech plug and pushed the load out with the ram-rod but that is messy and a pain to clean up . Anyway , the ML is ready for some action . All I need is for some deer to cooperate !

    I would continue wearing a Blaze orange vest or jacket . I wouldn't give in to the idiot neighbor . Let him keep calling . He might end up getting a warning from the DEC about false reporting and being a nuisance .
