  1. Sometimes it appears that this new generation is being influenced by the older generation of Hippies . They think that we should just drink , smoke pot , sing Kumbaya and there will be Peace on Earth . Hogg is a puppet and nothing more than a media whore !
  2. roundworms ! Grampy got roundworms from the dogs . Grampy went to the veterinarian to get some de-wormer medication and was told .....
  3. I have 7 out in Geneseo and 5 out in Walworth . If the water in the Walworth swamp recedes , maybe the deer will start traveling their old routes . Either Walworth or Penfield cleaned part of a ditch system and now the water doesn't flow south from the swamp and it floods .
  4. I guess I can continue to practice shooting my compounds in the basement .
  5. I don't expect to quit hunting for some time . As soon as deer season is over , I am anxious for the next season . I remember when I had a partial knee surgery that the surgeon said no more ladders . I said " how in hell do you think I am going to get in my stands without a ladder" ? He just shook his head . I have given a lot of my hunting surplus to my sons that hunt . I was thinking of selling some of my other surplus on CraigsList to local folks . I just have to get rid of the obsession of buying hunting gear just because it's on sale or clearance . My father in law got me started deer hunting in 1965 . We hunted together for about 5 years and he quit . I hunted a couple more years and stopped . My sister in law bought property in Geneseo and asked if I wanted to hunt with her so I got back into it . My son in law hunted with me for a couple years and he quit deer hunting . I got use to hunting alone My oldest son started deer hunting after he graduated from college and had some time and then we got my youngest son into it . I retired in 1998 and have put in a lot of hours every season . Since I have all that time , I hunt alone a lot . I still find myself capable of dragging a deer . It just takes more time !
  6. Congrats on your retirement . Enjoy the traveling ........
  7. I was out checking Trail Cams this week . I was considering moving stands later and maybe buying a couple more . When I got home , I was in the basement later and checked the peg board in my hunting part of the basement looking at a lot of the stuff that I had collected over the years and never used . I even have hunting clothes that I don't wear . A thought came to mind . I will be 77 this coming deer season . I started to wonder , how many more years could I keep up the hunting ? As long as I can draw the bow , climb a ladder stand , drag a deer and walk a couple miles , I will keep it up . It gets me up off my lazy butt and gives me some exercise . I doubt if there is any member older than me but how or when do you determine when to call it quits ? When do you decide that you have enough hunting gear and don't need any more ?
  8. I use the Hunt Stand ap . Posted my stands and Trail Cams on it . I like the "Boundry Feature" where can see property lines and owners of properties . The Boundry Feature works for Monroe and Livingston Counties but not for Wayne County . I havn't tried Scoutlook or OnX .
  9. a clue led them to travel to the Bronx at an address belonging to Uptown Redneck . Uptown wasn't home and it was assumed that he was Downtown . The neighbors wouldn't help with the investigators because they were drug dealers who stuck together and didn't snitch on one another . then out of the blue ...........
  10. Un beknown by Agent Grow , Agent Burmjohn was surveying the situation with his $30,000 government drone . Meanwhile Bubba and the militia were trying to shoot down the drone .
  11. They do send a pass notice . I got an email that gave a receipt number and then said to check my status and it showed that my recertification was fine and that I need to renew January 9 , 2023 .
  12. One of the short comings I see with the boots is they aren't very high . One of the areas that I hunt have a lot of water to slosh through .
  13. Meanwhile , back at the ranch , Bubba had gathered the Militia for a meeting and said .......
  14. Got a pleasant surprise when I got home yesterday . I checked my e-mails and had one from the Pistol Permit Recertification and got the approval for my pistols . Mailed it Jan 5 , it was signed for Jan 9 and certified March 26 . Jippie !
  15. Doing a search on the site , I didn't see much on the Micky Mouse Boots . My feet get cold hunting and I have tried other boots . My wife got me a pair of the remote battery operated foot warmers that I will try this fall . My brother in law just retired from the Army Reserve after serving 36 years and retired as a Warrant Officer . Anyway , I visited him yesterday and we were talking about hunting and cold feet . He said his feet never get cold while wearing the Micky Mouse Boots . Does anyone have any experience with these ? Plus's and minus's ?
  16. By any chance .... Was the group of Turkeys Pygmy and his buddies ?
  17. Pulled cards from Trail Cams and deleted all the unnecessary crap plus reset the time on the cams . It was rough walking through the field and woods as the mud kept trying to suck the boots off of my feet . I'll see about posting pics tomorrow . I am tired !
  18. I was at the Geneseo WalMart this afternoon . They had that same camera at $78.88 .....
  19. Listen to Moog . He can help you Pussify the truck !
