Two years ago I had a Sheriff's deputy waiting for me when I came out of a field in Walworth when I was using a Crop Damage Permit . He said he got a call that there was a lot of shooting close to homes and asked if I got a deer . I told him I shot once , missed and was over 200 yards from the road . Houses were on the opposite side of where I was parked He asked how I knew and I told him that I ranged the distance to my car at 200 yards and the houses were 50 yards or more beyond that . Then I showed him my single shot 25-06 .I told the deputy that I could show him where I had set up my chair blind that I shot from . He said it wasn't necessary as he saw me break it down and start walking to my vehicle . The deputy said that I had all the right answers and that he had to respond to the call and was on his way . Glad I had the Range Finder ! Where I felt bad is the land owner had to be called and was there also . Farmers spend enough time working that they don't need this sort of thing to bring them out . The farmer told to to stay at it as the deer were devastating his soy beans .

As someone asked earlier , where the heck are you located ? There is so sense for someone in Buffalo to try to suggest a place to get roadkill if you are in New York City, east of Albany , etc. ! Once again , WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED ?

And ...... they didn't use scopes or Range Finders .

The new shows come on at 10 pm but each week the previous week's show comes on at 9 pm . You could watch a double header next week . If you GOOGLE Ragnar Lothbrok , some say he didn't exist but there is information on his sons .

I have been watching the show since it started . Don't want to be a spoiler but someone isn't coming back next season . Rollo is a changed since he married into French Royalty and learned to speak French !

What makes Ruger Magazines so expensive . I wanted an extra mag for my .380 LCP . I couldn't find one for less than $39.95 . There is nothing to these to make it cost that much !

My oldest son takes his kids ( one at a time ) during gun season when it is snowing and blowing . They either sit in a blind or in the tree house in Italy Valley . I think letting kids hunt with a gun during bow season because they can hunt in warm weather is a joke . I don't know any other fathers that take their kids out during gun season , when it is colder , because it might spoil dad's chance of shooting the big wall hanger . If the kid doesn't shoot a deer during the Columbus Day weekend does he / she get a Participation Trophy ?

I use one when Bow Hunting . Mine is a Halo with the ARC .

I will stick with my compound . Unless I get too old ( I will only be 75 this season ) or at a point where I can no longer draw my compound , then I would go to a crossbow . They are easier and more accurate than a compound . And yes , I have shot a crossbow but only once . Put 3 bolts in a pie plate target at 40 yards with a PSE TAC15 .

Two hunters had been out for several hours and one of them was growing uneasy . Panic finally overtook him . " We're lost" he cried to his buddy . "Whatever shall we do" ? " Keep your shirt on ! " the other hunter said . " Shoot an extra deer and then the Game Warden will be here in a minute and a half " . Sounds about right to me .

Thank you for all the prayers . The hospital Chaplain came and said a prayer with us . Hummer was given a morphine drip and later , they unplugged the machine . He took his last breath at 11:45 . I truly believe the prayers helped my sister get through the ordeal . Thanks again !

I don't shoot skeet . They are too hard to clean .

I am going to the hospital tomorrow to support my sister and nephew . I've been through this several times and it doesn't get any easier . Thanks everyone !

I love shooting an in-line ...... a big boom , puff of smoke and then looking through the cloud of smoke to see what you hit . Before they allowed rifles , I used to take my 12 ga pump out opening day and I would take the ML the rest of the season just because it is so much fun to shoot .
