Gotta give Geneseo another try tomorrow . I would have tried Mendon but it's not plowed and there is no place to park . Hoping whatever made the rubs by the creek in Geneseo shows up in the morning .

Dave --- No problem unless you were speeding on the way home . -
Sounds like the Liberal distribution of wealth ........ pay for those that can't afford it . Don't do the crime if you can't pay the fine !

???????????? Who are you referring to ? -
I am at my son's home watching the grandkids . We had venison for dinner . Looked out the back window and there was a doe and two fawns about 120 yards out in the mowed trail . He shot 2 of his deer out that way this past week .

I should dust off my snowshoes and try them out .

My son took his 6 year old daughter out back yesterday and he shot "her deer" . She was so excited !

BfloHunter , that's a bummer . I see more deer in the village limits of Irondequoit than I do when hunting ..... eating in people's yards . That's a nice looking buck !

Comparing legal shooting time to driving the speed limit

Well , I do check my watch when hunting and stay legal . Some folks could get away with breaking the law but if I did something illegal , I would probably have a DEC Officer tapping me on the shoulder in seconds . Seven pages and no one has changed their mind .................. -
He practiced at 40 yards and guessed at a 50 yard shot with a crossbow . He got the deer . So , what's the big deal ! How many of you sight in a rifle at 100 yards and take a 200 yard shot ?

My son took his 9 year old with him to camp and shot an 8 point . My grandson claimed it as "his" deer . His younger 6 year old brother wanted to go out with dad and my son shot a doe with the muzzle loader making another grandson happy . Now the 6 year old twin sister wants to go out with dad because it's her turn . I called up my 6 year old grandson to congratulate him ( even though his dad shot the deer ) and he told me about seeing the deer's heart , his dad removing the guts and stuff and draining the blood . He was quite excited .

Irondequoit had that for a few years after spending thousands of dollars on off duty cops doing Bait & Shoot . A bow hunter had to pass a qualification course and get in a lottery for the special permit . There were special rules and regulations as well as specific hours to hunt / shoot . A bow hunter would be assigned a specific spot to hunt . I don't know if they still do this or not .

If you drive 60 mph on Rt 104 where the speed limit is 55 and you are in the passing lane with several cars backed up behind you ...... you can be ticketed for driving too slow too slow and obstructing traffic flow . -

I think the point of the question of legal time vs speeding was ....... do you break one rule constantly but adhere to the other and does that make you a hypocrite ........ -

You had better slow down on the Walworth - Ontario Road . The Troopers keep a good eye on that road . -
I wonder if this guy was wearing Blaze Orange ....... Hunter shoots self in foot On Tuesday (12/2) shortly after 5:00 p.m. the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office and Phelps Ambulance responded to 1318 Mott Road in the Town of Phelps for a male who have had been shot in the foot. Upon arrival it was discovered Justin J. Vancamp, age 25, of 1339 Mott Road in Phelps sustained a gun shot wound to his right foot from a 12 gauge shotgun while hunting in an orchard nearby. Vancamp was able to get back to his vehicle and drive a short distance to a relative’s home. He was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for further treatment by ambulance. The NYS DEC responded to the scene, and will be completing the rest of the investigation.

A guy from Walworth got caught shooting a buck from a combine . He used his wife's tag . He lost his hunting priviliges for 5 years and had to pay a fine . I think the wife was charged also . This happened 3 or 4 years ago . Someone reported him for shooting from the machinery .

Wasting a tag on a 4 pointer is a pretty sorry statement ! Don't shoot the 4 pointers and you still have the tag for the Big Boy ,,,,,, if he shows up . I heard of a guy who shoots a buck and uses his dad's tag and then has his own for a big rack deer . If I had any evidence , I would turn his ass in to the authorities .
