  1. I made a New Year's resolution several years ago that I would no longer make any resolutions !
  2. Happy Birthday ....... enjoy that 200# of beef !
  3. I have done this with the scopes that I have Millet rings on . Both sides get tightened so if you screw in one side more than the other , your scope is off . It works for me and I will continue to do this easy adjustment .
  4. I prefer the Millet Scope Rings . You can loosen one side and tighten the other to tweak the horizontal adjustment . After that tweak the adjustment on the scope .
  5. Well , apparently all the Taxidermists are wrong ! They call them Euro mounts and that is what they write on the receipt . A Western Mount is what the cowboys ride !
  6. Uhhhhhhh , I think this is a Western Euro .........
  7. I GOOGLEd Pheasant Release dates New York and it only gave me release sites . you could check these out .......... Albany County Berne - Partridge Run WMA - See maps at all informational kiosks. (YH, RS) Knox - Margaret Burke WMA - west side of County Route 254. (YH, RS) New Scotland - West side of Diamond Hill Rd. north of Clipp Rd. (RS) Call the DEC and they should have the answer
  8. My son took his 9 year old son with him to his camp in Italy Valley . He shot an 8 pt and my grandson claimed it as "his" deer . My son had a guy in Bloomfield do the mount and my son made the plaque / mounting board and put it in Cameron's room .
  9. I forgot to add a 2 man / double stand was also a present that I got . I have several of the 15' stands but the double is so much more comfortable .
  10. Happy Birthday Burmjohn ............ have a great day !
  11. Definitely add serving where the string hits the suppressor . Otherwise there will be much wear on the string if left bare .
  12. I have the Milwaukee heated jacket also . You need to get an extra battery and they are pricey . The batteries don't last that long and the pocket hand warmer eats them up . Sorry folks .... now back to What did Santa bring you .............
  13. I got a pretty good haul Gift cards for DICKs , Walmart , Tractor Supply and Dunkin Donuts . Some cash and a couple of checks . A book by Jim Boheim , box of hand warmers , a hoodie zip up sweartshirt with some cool logo and a Samsung Galaxy S5 smart phone with a OtterBox case (got the phone early). I started getting gift cards instead of the useless stuff that I would end up putting away in drawers .
  14. You would think the TV show folks would be smart enough to do things legal .
  15. Shooting does = herd management
  16. The reason I posted it in Bow Hunting as there is no plain Archery Forum . And ..... yes , it's a vertical cross bow . You can hear a bit of wind noise in the video so I guess the shooter had taken that into consideration .
  17. About the only thing I don't like about the WildGame Cams is how they are mounted (bungie cords) . I was able to buy some lock boxes at DICKs on a closeout to make them more secure . You need an assortment of different size bungie cords for various size trees or make an adjustable strap with "S" hooks to attach the camera to a tree . For me , the bungie cord bit is a serious design flaw . Maybe I am paranoid but I don't like to leave a Trail Camera out unless I can lock it up and I realize that isn't a full safe guard as anyone with a set of bolt cutters or saw can take the camera .
  18. YES .. dirty ammo . Bought American Eagle in place of the Remington crap and I believe the American Eagle is manufactured by Federal .
  19. I gave away a few boxes of Remington 22's a few years ago . It is the dirtiest ammo I have ever shot . I have no regrets on getting rid of it either !
  20. WCJ -- I have found that after the crops are harvested , the deer change their patterns . I could get pics all summer and once the beans , etc are harvested , the deer aren't there .
