  1. I believe the pics were taken after the stuff was stolen . Looks like the guy is casing the area while wearing slippers . He sure isn't wearing them when he has his hunting gear with him .
  2. Three of the places that I have to hunt are at least 50 miles away . I am not going to drive 100+ miles round trip to hunt for 2 hours . I have a couple of spots closer . One is in Walworth but we havn't seen any deer in well over a week . That's probably due to the duck hunters at the swamp . Another spot is Marion but I can't hunt there unless my oldest son has permission from his friend who owns the land . If I didn't have something in the freezer I might be out there facing the cold .
  3. The game has been moved to Detroit and won't be played Sunday .
  4. I stopped at Staples where I had bought my puter . The Geek there didn't know how to change it . The pictures open in a WINDOWS system and going through their help bit ..... it has dated pics going to separate files and won't do anything different . So here is what I do now ..... *place SD card in slot *Go to THIS PC *click SD card *shows DCIM *100 Media click that and it has a list of pics with dates *Make a folder and name it *Highlight the list of pics and move to named folder *move folder to Documents as there is no choice to allow it to be sent to pics *Highlight that folder and drag it to the main picture location Sounds like a lot of work but easier than uploading into several folders and having to open , cut , delete , paste , etc .. Thanks for the suggestions ...
  5. Well , if they move it out of The Ralph , It shouldn't be blacked out . Even if the stadium were to be cleared , what about all the parking lots . Remember years ago when Buffalo was buried , people died , they loaded train cars and dumped that snow in Syracuse and some people there bitched . Do the shovelers have to bring their own shovels ?
  6. It's because you havn't corrected your settings . Go to SETTINGS and change the time to (GMT -5hours) US & Canada , Bogota , Lima
  7. I saw 5 doe on opening day but nothing I could take a shot at . I was quite disappointed until my youngest son shot a beauty of a buck just before we were going to quit . I was in a blind Monday from near 6 am to 1 - 1:30 pm and didn't see a thing . Left before my car got snowed in where I was parked in a field . My son's opening day buck
  8. The pictures upload fine ...... however , when I have pics on a card from different dates they open in several folders depending on how many different dates there are . I'll try to stop into Staples this week and talk to one of the geeks to see if they can figure it out . But , thanks for the suggestions .
  9. Belo ----- We used to get that a lot on my sister in laws property . A guy would be trespassing and when confronted would state that he had hit a deer and was tracking it . I would tell him that the property is posted , he is tresspassing and no deer came through plus he was messing up my hunt . A lot of hunters are trespassing liars . some would say , Oh , I thought I was on so and so's property and I would ask , "did you see his name on the posted signs" ?
  10. In the past when I put a SD card from a trail cam in the computer all the pics on that card would go into one folder no matter what the date was . Now when I upload , the pics go into numerous folders by date ....... if pics were taken on 14 different dates , there would now be 14 folders and the only way to get them in one folder is to cut , paste and delete . I must have done something on my desktop windows to cause this but I don't know what it is / was . Any thoughts or are you too busy arguing about hunter orange , shooting hours , etc .. ?
  11. There was an incident on River Road in leicester where a scottsville man shot with a ML and his round went through a window and lodged in a desk .
  12. No doubt the anti hunters wonder why we kill animals for meat when they can go but it in a super-market "where it is made" .
  13. Several years ago I stopped at the DEC in Avon to have them check out my deer . I had a doe that had a 40" girth . It was the biggest doe I had ever shot . The DEC guy inside wanted to know what was wrong with the deer and I told him nothing but I would like it checked out . I think I interupted his nap . Anyway , he came out checked the teeth and measured the girth at 41" . He said "hey , nice doe" and went back in . I never stopped again since it wasn't mandatory .
  14. Here are some pics of my son's opening day buck shot in Marion .........
  15. Arrived at Geneseo just before 6 am . Walked to my pod blind by the pond . Wow ! The guy who farms my sister in laws property cleared out a lot of small trees and crap from the pond field . I believe he is going to clear the whole area and put in some drain hose to run the water to a nearby ditch . that should help dry the field that stays wet year round . Anyway , I got settled into the blind and waited . Between 8:45 and 9:30 I heard two shots from different directions . It had started snowing early and just kept coming down . Around 10:30 I heard a shot beyond the woods followed by another and more for a total of 5 shots . It sounded like the shooter was moving during each shot . I wondered if he was chasing a deer . Funny ! Around 1 pm , after not seeing anything , I thought I would pack up and leave as I hadn't seen anything and I figured I had better be able to get my car out of the field as the snow had accumulated and I was hauling my trailer . Some before and after pics from the same camera after a lot of overgrown was dozed and bush hogged ...
