I heard that Moog wears a camo bow tie when he hunts . Is there any truth to that ?

As many have said , the time to buy is at the end of the hunting season . Stores would rather get rid of stuff rather than have to pack it up and store it . I don't shop at Gander Mountain but the 1st year they opened up in Henrietta my wife had my son buy a Scent Lok outfit for me for Christmas . They had the stuff marked at 1/2 price with another 30% off . I wear it every bow season and have had it for several years . I think a lot of the push to wear Camo is BS but I go along with the crowd . Check out some of the hunting gear at Tractor Supply also . They carry a bunch of stuff .

John --- Try that at the DEC sportsmen's gathering when you go ....... that would be a hoot !

I have camo gear that I wear in public once in a while ( not full camo ) . A lot of times the camo clothes are on clearance at WalMart or Dicks and it's generally quality material .

I wasn't serious . Just making a joke ..........

If you are out in public and you see someone wearing camouflage , make sure you walk right into them so they know it's working ( unless of course , the guy is " 6' 6" and weighs 300 pounds ) .

Just an added note . You still have to take the Gun Safety Class even if yo pass the Bow Class . My son found that out the hard way when he 1st applied for a bow license . All he wanted to do was bow hunt but couldn't get a license until he did the Gun Safety Class .

John once told us that one of the Bucks on his farm tried to kill him . He also had pics of bottle feeding fawns in their kitchen . He also explained how he used a blowgun with darts to bring the does into Estrus .

I was practicing from my backyard tree stand tonight . By bending at the waist , I was right on at 20 yards . If you don't bend at the waist you hit higher . So , I shot at 30 yards without bending and was on target without adjusting the single pin sight . I wonder how I would fare hunting like this ......... Hmmmmmmm

John Bacon has a place in Lyons , NY where he collects the deer pee . It used to be sold in a lot of the DICKs stores but Corporate Policy forbid it . A few of the gun shops , etc sell North Country products and it gets stored in small refrigerators at those places . John has done a couple talks at the Local Sportsmens Dinners .

That's why I shop at Aldi's !

Well , in light of all the BS , It's a nice gesture by the Pizza Company to put something useful on their boxes .

I will get to a stand before sunrise and sit until close to noon . Then I will get down do some walking and get the circulation going and grab something to eat and drink from my vehicle . Then about 1 pm it's time to head for the evening stand to sit until close to dark . When I sit for a length of time I get groggy and want to nap . Gotta stand up and stretch . Of course if I get lucky and get a deer early am , this all changes !

My wife grows herbs in the garden . She cuts some down , puts them in small brown paper shopping bags to dry and then harvests the seeds , etc ..

If someone would burn a tree with a stand , I bet he would trash a tri-pod stand also .

Never heard of someone burning down a tree with a stand in it ...... Is this a joke ?
