I picked up one for 8H and one for 8F . I may sign them over to a friend later in the season .

I pray that I never hit a deer with a vehicle ! They can do some real damage that is costly .

One of my sons lives in Jersey City , NJ and is without power . Someone about 3 blocks away has power and put 6 strip outlets outside so folks could plug in their cell phones and charge them .

I have never sat in or hunted from a 2 person stand . They all look quite roomy .

This reminds me of more American Ingenuity ........have something that works and change it !

I had never heard of the "shock collar" until this post . I will stick to my plain old Rage II's

i doan use no steenkin shock collar ! I am guessing the shock collar has some sort of adverse effect on the flight of the arrow .

The article said the guy was hanging upside down . I am wondering if he was wearing a safety belt instead of a harness . The man was lucky and thank heavens for Fire Fighters !

I don't know if they drank while hunting . I wasn't about to hunt with them . I never saw a need for booze at camp .

It's not my tree but I will probably be the one to get rid of it as the neighbor who it belongs to doesn't take care of his yard let alone worry about something that is on my side of his fence . The fence is 5' on his side of the property line and the guy has only lived there about a year . I talked to him once when he was out in his yard and the guy is a lazy jerk . The ground is soft back there so I will have to wait to drive back with my trailer to cut up and get rid of the tree . Bow season is more important right now . Just thankful that we didn't lose power .

If you are going to trash them like you said , try what I suggested and glue one shut or tie one closed with dental floss and see what happens when you shoot it at your target . You have nothing to lose but a few minutes of your time . As suggested , they might be opening prematurely . I always made sure the blades were secure when I put the Rage arrow on my string . Never had a problem with one . It's not always the equipment . Often it's the person not being familiar with the equipment . Just a thought . Not a slam .

Personally I never cared to drink . I would get sick instead of feeling good plus I never cared for the taste of alcohol so I consider myself lucky . I was invited to camp with some guys several years ago . this is what they told me they do ...... Day 1 --- Get up early and hunt , come back to cabin , eat , go back out to hunt come back , eat , play cards and drink . Day 2 --- Get up hunt , come back to cabin , eat , those that want to go back out do , the others play cards and drink . Day 3 --- anyone who wants to hunt gets up and goes out . The rest eat , play cards and drink . I didn't go I never saw a need to drink when hunting and didn't care to hunt with someone who did . I sure as hell didn't want to be on a deer drive with anyone who had been drinking but that's just my opinion .

I have a 6 arrow quiver . I have 2 Rage II blades , 2 Swhacker heads and 2 target tip arrows . I shoot the target tipped arrow from the stand to test my bow and see if anything has been jarred loose . I do NOT use the target tips for hunting and have yet to find anything in the Regs that say it is illegal to take them when hunting . Normally I would have 4 Rage II blades but thought I might give the Swhackers a try .

If you decide to give up on the Rage II's and toss them in a dark hole , I would try thjs . Take one of the mechanicals , super glue the blades so they cannot deploy ( so it would be like the practice head ) and shoot it . See if it hits way off as it originally did . Let us know the results . ....... Just a thought

They said they were evacuating homes along the lake from Hamlin into Wayne County .

Channel 10 news just cut in and said 60 - 70 mph winds along the lake . I am only 2 miles south of Lake Ontario .

It's blowing pretty hard here in Ontario right now . The lights flickered a while ago . Sure hope we don't lose power .

That is my understanding . It eliminates the need to tune anything .

Newbreed --- try shooting the practice head with your hunting jacket , shirt , whatever . Could you be hitting the sleeve of what you are hunting with ?
