I end up going through brambles / multi floral roses , etc ... They would get ripped off of me . I had to cut a crap load of thorns today to put up a ladderstand . My hands still hurt .
The leafy camo does look neat though .
I havn't seen anyone wearing Blaze orange during bow season ............ ??????
I stopped off at Gander Mt this afternoon . They also have the leafy camo .
If there was periodic sunlight shining at your stand , you could buy one of the cheap $1 solar lights at the Dollar Store and put red or green light cellophane on the light . Hmmmmmmm
I have never hunted Elk nor do I intend to but ......... I would think I would use a heavier arrow and broadhead . Elk are much larger than deer and I would think a heavier broadhead would pack more of a punch .
If Hank Parker recovers all the deer that he and his sons shoot at , the broadheads must be good . Looks like several high hits as well as toward the back of the deer .
Bubba , I think he was referring to you living up North in the desolate wilderness and that you might have some insight on Mountainmen . I took it as a jest .
p.s. ---- turn on the generator and watch some TV !
Before I retired , I had 6 weeks vacation each year . Two were for me ( 1 week bow / 1 week gun ) . The other 4 were whenever my fife wanted to do something / go somewhere .
The October 1st opener would mean my wife would be a Hunting Widow for 2 extra weeks . No vacation trips October thru December . Those Time Share weeks have 9 months to get used ...........
