  1. I just checked the original posts and the times there don't match the times in the pictures. Looks like the screen shot picture times were off by an hour. Maybe it was in daylight savings mode this morning?
  2. Judging from the blood I don't think he was gut shot. It looks to bright in the pictures. More like a meat shot type of blood.
  3. Id put a stand between the corn field and swale grass. I'm sure the deer are bedding in the swale and moving to the corn.
  4. Definitely not liver blood. Did you find any hair where you hit her? From the description, you may have caught a tiny part of the lung and then hit diaphragm. You'll get blood that color with no bubbles. Not sure how fatal that is, but I would give her several hours. Good luck.
  5. I prefer chain ons with climbing sticks. I can move one alone and have it put up in a few minutes. I bought 2 Muddy Lites this year and love them. But I have a few different brands. All I can say is bigger platforms are better.
  6. Valid points made by gfdeputy. Where do you get replacement parts? How tunable is it? Can it be adjusted for DL/DW? Not to mention you've never picked it up or shot it. I'd steer clear. Not sure what your budget for a bow is, but you can do a lot better than that for around the same amount of money.
  7. Not sure what your setup is, but if you're shooting a lighter poundage (50-60 lbs) and a not so heavy arrow, you're prob not gonna get the pass through you'd expect. I shoot 72 lbs and around a 460 grain arrow and have never had an issue.
  8. If it can't be linked back to a reputable manufacturer I wouldn't spend anyone's money on it. It's not worth the risk. Like WNY said, go to AT and search their classifieds you'll find quality bows on there for decent prices.
  9. Here are some videos from a mock scrape that I made last Wednesday. I picked up the card Saturday and was pleasantly surprised. I ended up killing the first buck Sunday morning. EK000042.AVIEK000044.AVIEK000046.AVIEK000047.AVI
  10. I have 2 WGI pulse 10x game cameras that don't function like they should. When I first purchased them they were superb. But now they won't work consistently. I am tired of trying to use them with no eval. If someone would like them for "dummy" cams or if you want them to see if you can get them to work, you can have them. Local pickup or will ship for cost of shipping (around $10) anywhere in NY. I am in Weedsport which is in central/northern Cayuga county. If you are interested please let me know.
  11. WNYBuckhunter 175-180 dressed. Nice buck.
  12. I put a camera up to monitor the activity. Who knows what kind of buck is hitting the scrape. I will also pee on the overhanging branch. I just made a mock scrape last week and 4 or 5 different bucks hit it.
  13. Great article. I have seen some pretty big spikes at 1 1/2 turn into some pretty big 3 or 4 points at 2 1/2. This was up north though where there wasn't as much agriculture and is big woods hunting.
  14. Now you know why you passed him up. Congrats to your friends daughter!
  15. 3 1/2 year old 8 point, 175lbs. Caught him on trail cam yesterday morning checking a scrape I made and had the perfect wind this morning to sit in the right stand for him. Woke up late (6 am) and literally ran to my stand in my base layers. Was there for about 40 min before he leisurely strolled through. Sent a Rage through him at 27 yards. He ran about 300 yards before piling up. My son, wife, and buddy helped in the tracking effort. Great morning.
  16. The 2 that I have did a lot of stretching after every 200-300 shots. Which for me is every week. I got tired of fixing it. Easiest way is to put a quality string on it.
  17. Oh my god, it's so quiet out! Should be able to hear deer for miles. What little wind we have is favorable. Come on big boy, come play.
  18. Love my Diamonds! Only thing I would recommend is putting a new string on. The factory Octane strings suck.
  19. 118 lb's she's either 4.5 or 5.5 have pics from last few years. She has a noticeable overbite so it was easy to identify her. Sent a Rage through her lungs at 54 yards in the beans. She ran 80-100 yards downhill before piling up. The itch is gone so now I can play the waiting game with the big boys.
