  1. No that's the yellow food plot he recently planted
  2. It's so quiet out...I think the deer can hear me farting and that's why they haven't shown up.
  3. As many as you want. Unless of course you're talking annually, then 2-3. Depending on how well you did the previous year.
  4. You don't shoot does? I would have ended that party quickly.
  5. I've killed a doe with a fawn then shot the fawn, both with bow and rifle. The fawn will typically hang around after the shot. I love venison and those fawns taste pretty good.
  6. Great story. I saved the pictures on my phone so I'll check every time I see an old buck on a wall!
  7. Nice buck congrats! Sent from my KFSOWI using Tapatalk
  8. Saw 2 doe and a mature 8 point last night. They came out by my other stand so that's where I'm at this morning. Wind is perfect, SSE. Hope one strolls by.
  9. Foggy overcast morning. Just squirrels so far.
  10. Nice pics! What Covert cam is that?
  11. I'd say he's a nice 3 year old possibly 4. Definitely look like northern tier bucks!
  12. You say no until they start compensating you. I was salaried for 40 hours but would get comp time (time and half) for anything I worked over 40. This was my supervisors policy, not the companies. I was the same way with the people I supervised. They were all salary except one. So I typically gave that guy the first dibs on OT. Everyone else received comp time for being flexible and working when the OT was required. We did it this way because we never saw any bonuses and the pay raises (unless promoted) were typically 1-4% annually.
  13. He's hunting in New Jersey where it is legal.
  14. Nice buck! Can't wait to see the whole video.
  15. If you know how to post pics on here upload a few of them so we can actually see what is going on. With that said, I think Phade pretty much hit the nail on the head though. You should be able to adjust the PIR on it so the sensitivity isn't too high.
  16. Funny this topic comes up. Since I'm a full time student now I spend a lot of time around young immature kids (thrilling I know). I've become "friends" with a few of them and last week we were talking about bow hunting. This one kid asks if I was excited about bow season and I said yeah I've been shooting a few hundred times a week. He instantly replied with yeah, I still need to get arrows, broadheads, and shoot my bow. But I'll probably just go a couple days before and get them and go out. I immediately told him that was an extremely poor decision. I convinced him and another kid to get their bows and meet me at Bass Pro after school. I then had them bring their bows over so we could shoot. We started at 10 yards and it was pitiful, literally couldn't hit a 6" circle. So over the course of 2 hours we made adjustments to their bows, form, and draw style. By the end of the session they were putting 6/6 arrows inside 6" at 20 yards and 4/6 arrows inside 6" at 30. I suggested to them to practice at least once a week starting in August. They were pretty grateful and said nobody had ever helped them shoot before and that they just took the course, picked up bows, and started hunting. I was happy to help and glad I did. To think they were basically just going to go out without practicing.
  17. Still a tough pic to judge age from but, score wise I would say around 130"
  18. I buy some pretty expensive hunting gear but I never pay full price for it. I'll buy last years models or if you know people who work at some of the big retailers like I do, you can have them buy the stuff for you and get their discount. I actually had my buddy who works at a sporting goods store (not Dick's and not Bass Pro) buy me pants and a jacket last year. They were normally $129 a piece but were on sale in their flyer for $69 a piece. With his discount I spent $100 total. Shop the bargains online too and you can find some really good quality stuff at pretty good prices.
  19. This is the first time I've heard of using powdered milk in sausage. I follow a similar tactic as WNYBuckHunter, double grind, mix, and stuff. I've added chunks of sharp cheddar after the second grind as well. The consistency is fine.
  20. A friend of mine has Sprint. He moved here from Baltimore and said the coverage was great there but is absolutely horrible here. He said he gets great coverage in the Syracuse area. So based on that I would say if you live in the city you'll be fine, but if you're in the woods and need service you may be SOL.
