  1. After months of getting pictures and pictures and pictures of nothing but does and some smaller bucks I was able to get this guy on camera. It's not the best picture but you can get the jist.
  2. You can get a roll of serving string, d loop material, Allen wrenches, and needle nose pliars for around $50. Buy these and then check the web for videos on how to tie d loops, peep sights, put in new serving, etc. This way you can do the small stuff yourself. I even made my own bow holder. I used to have the pro shop do everything for me. But after a few years of dropping it off and waiting 3, 4, or more days for simple stuff to get done, I learned how to do it myself. Still take the bow in now and then so they can look the limbs over and check cams. If you know someone who can do all this, ask them to show you. Good luck.
  3. Awesome deer! Hopefully we get to see a pic of you holding one, good luck!
  4. Final cutting of the year, and why not during my final summer vacation.
  5. Checked out a few 700 an 800's today. I think for nothing more than sure power they would be nice. Plan on stopping in and checking out Yamaha tomorrow.
  6. I have looked into them a little, but don't really know too much about them. I wouldn't mind the standard transmission because its primary use will be for the farm. I'm just not sure the wife would be able to handle it.
  7. Haven't tried it, but it's a pretty sweet looking bow. I shoot the sister company's bows, Diamond Dead eye and black ice. Check out their new Fear No Evil Dead eye bow, also pretty sweet.
  8. I am looking into getting a used 500 HO or 500 EFI. I had a 2004 500 HO new but sold it back in 2006. I loved the machine. Never had any major problems with it other than the plastics where your feet go broke. I know a lot has changed since then; looks, motor, and durability wise so I was just looking to see if anyone on here has one and how they like or dislike it. Or recommendations for a different wheeler. I have been looking into another 2004 or a little newer if I can find one that hasn't been beat to crap. Also, if anyone has one they are trying to sell, shoot me a PM and let me know what you have. Trying to stay under $3600. Thanks!
  9. Couple of nice looking bucks. The last one looks like he has some good mass. I guess you will see when velvet is gone. Good luck.
  10. I would say 2 different bucks. I don't think they usually completely lose points when they get older, they just get shorter or lose mass.
  11. I would take that shot from the ground out to 30 yards. In a stand, I would keep it to 20 and under. Only had to take it once with a bow. Was on the ground and deer was ~12 yards. Deer ran about 60 yards and died.
  12. Well arrows are much more expensive than another target. Either shoot at another spot on your current target (couple inches apart), or buy a bag target with several different bullseyes on it. I never shoot at the same spot on my targets anymore.
  13. Pretty sure they would look good on someone's wall. Those are some nasty brows!
  14. Nice deer, that last buck looks like he's going to have some serious mass.
  15. Fine looking deer! The body on that thing looks pretty impressive.
  16. 2 ton Yale air powered chain hoist with plain trolley. Model KAL2-37PT9S3, 90 psi operating pressure, 71 CFM, 37 feet of chain, with a speed of 9 feet/min. I am Asking $750 or BO or possible trade.
  17. And for the straps, invite some friends over, wrap thick cut bacon around the strap, rotisserie, remove and enjoy! Did a fresh one at camp like this a few years ago, delicious!
  18. Slice the hearts across the grain like steaks (1/2" thick). Season with garlic salt and pepper to taste. Sauté some onions, peppers, minced garlic, and shrooms in a pan. In a separate pan, sere the heart on both sides and when veggies are nearly done, place the steaks on top of the veggies and cover for 2-4 minutes while cooking on med heat. Put the steaks with all the fixins inside a nice roll and enjoy!
  19. Y'all are spoiled with those big fancy air conditioned tractors! Meanwhile I'm stuck with my Case IH 885 with no air ride, and no A/C. And my little old 389 haybine and 356 kicker baler...haha. I'm always amazed watching the big disc bines and how fast they mow. But when you don't cut much hay, it's not worth the purchase, at least for me. Enjoy!
  20. Hahaha...oh the haters! Just as an FYI, I've been doing this particular work out since April. When I first started I was in good shape, 5'10" and 175 lbs. I could barely do a set of 10 pull ups and was struggling to get to 30 per day. Since them I've changed my diet, lost weight, (now at 162 lbs), got back into my boxing work out, and can do a heck of a lot more. I'm not saying I'm Hercules by any means, but I've worked hard to get to the point where I'm at. You can bash me and 15 year old Joe if you want, but since you've never met me, or seen me work out, you should probably just stick to your 12oz curls. Google search "the murph" workout. We also do that once a week.
