  1. Wish I was on my way to my stand instead of work. Rain has ended and should remain clear until after sun up. Just saw 4 does and a small buck.
  2. I'll be in stand for the Tuesday evening hunt. Won't make it out in the morning until the weekend. Good luck everyone!
  3. Nice young 6 point along with some does, fawn, and turkeys. Haven't had anything decent on the cam in a while, but there is still plenty of time.
  4. New bow right out of the box at 20 yards. Was impressed. Didn't have much time for fine tuning as the boys kept me occupied while they shot.
  5. Nice to see those little potential studs. I'm sure next year (if he makes it) he will be a pretty nice 2 1/2 year old. I'm hoping you get some pics of LFN at that scrape, he's a cool looking buck.
  6. The B&C club only counts the net score for their records. I agree that if you can measure it, it should count. But they are the official rule governors and only count the net.
  7. Not enough mass and too many deductions. Would say it ends up upper 130's. Great looking deer though.
  8. I am originally from Parish and live in Weedsport now, so it's easier for me to tell the difference between the southern zone farm buck and northern woods buck. Hope you get a crack at them, bow season is a mere 4 days away if you have last years tag.
  9. Same here, haven't really had anything decent since August. A lot of nice young bucks. Hope the big guys are just waiting for the season to start.
  10. I'm not sure where your location is, but I would guess northern NY. Looks a lot like the bucks we get up at my hunting camp (Redfield, 6K). Usually nothing to brag about but a lot of mature bucks that are 6-8 points. Every once in a while we stumble on a dandy, but for the most part you are happy seeing a spike. Nice deer none the less, good luck.
  11. Pwgunny, I never about looking for a forum. Thanks for the idea.
  12. Long story short, don't let friends touch your bow. Buddy had the string slip at almost full draw. He's gonna pay for the cam so that eases some of pain. My backup plan is on its way to my door tomorrow. Got a smoking deal on a 2012 Deadeye, couldn't resist.
  13. Looks like I will be putting my back up plan into action. 10-14 days for delivery of the new cam....
  14. If I ever get my bow fixed, I will post a picture of my first group with it.
  15. Well in my every attempt yesterday to get the cam ordered, I failed. BPS was not very good at contacting me or Bowtech/Diamond which upset me even more. Once I finally got a hold of a parts guy at Bowtech/Diamond he reassured me that he would personally contact BPS and call me after. Hopefully they can have one ordered for me today. If not, I have my backup bow ready for purchase!
  16. If the parts take too long to arrive, I'll be looking for a backup!
  17. Dropped my bow off at the local archery shop last week to have the string replaced and got a phone call yesterday saying my binary cam was bent and needed to be replaced. Not the phone call I wanted to hear with only 2 weeks left before the season opener! So now I have to order a new cam. After talking to Bowtech/Diamond they said they can only sell to authorized dealers. Since he is only an authorized Mathew's and Hoyt dealer, he can not order it for me. So Bass Pro shops is an authorized dealer and is supposed to get me an RA # so I can have it sent to my house and have it replaced. I am just hoping they don't drop the ball on this and get me my cam. Sadly, I don't think I will be using the same archery shop (although he is rather close and has always done good work) for service since he can't order parts for my bow when needed. Good news is I think I found another shop that is a certified Bowtech/Diamond dealer and hopefully they can take care of me from now on. Such aggravation...I haven't shot my bow in weeks!!!
  18. I'm going to have to disagree with you on this SteveB. If only the first shot counts, then why am I shooting 50-60 arrows or more every time I shoot? Here is why, to make sure that when I get that one shot, It counts. I'm a firm believer in practice makes perfect. And if you don't practice, then you are just asking for trouble.
  19. Absolutely amazing buck! Hope you get a chance at him with bow.
  20. I say if you see him in range, drop him!
  21. Trust me, I'm not gonna mess with much after I get the new string put on. It will definitely be a post season adventure.
