Can we get another countdown to Oct 1st clock this year?

You bow hunt turkeys? -
Kitchen looks awesome too! Your man cave will really come together when you start hanging the pictures. For the windows you could always go with the camo curtains. There are also some pretty cool wildlife style fabric that would look nice if you know a person who can sew.

Totally didn't see the other thread for this...

It's here, the .17 Win super mag. Looks like a pretty sweet caliber. I have a .22 WMR, but when these hit the shelf this spring, I might have to grab one. http://www.outdoorlife.com/blogs/gun-shots/2013/01/worlds-fastest-rimfire

Yes...How's that?

Wish my man cave looked like that. Right now it's full of the kids toys! I think it's time to reclaim my territory.

It will be interesting to see what that tall 8 point turns into this fall. Should be a super nice buck. Good luck shed hunting!

Anybody hunt coyotes in Cayuga county and have any luck?

Awesome deer congrats on making P&Y!

1/2" shorter, but not much passed that. Most string loops are only ~1/2".

I've never seen an archery shop use an actual bow to measure draw length. At least the ones I've been to. Remember we are taking about a beginner here, whom is looking to get into the sport. I don't think any good archery shop is gonna advise him to go with a shorter draw length (.5" ok but over that is too much) cause its more accurate or a longer one to gain speed. They will give him his actual length so he can purchase the bow that fits him best. Honestly, if a shop suggested that to me, I wouldn't return. That's stuff you mess around with at home.

Are you suggesting to go with a shorter draw length if they can pull more weight at it? Cause if so that is completely wrong. Your draw length is what it is.

Thoughts On A Reasonable Bow-Was Looking At Martin Threshold

Diamond has the new Infinite Edge bow with the RAK package for $349 new in box. Great bow that is adjustable from 13-30" draw length and 5-70lb draw weight. -
I shoot Winchester supreme dual bond slugs in my Savage 212. They group pretty well at 100 yards and don't destroy a lot of meat (unless you hit shoulder). I would recommend them to anyone. Only negative is the price. At $15-$20 a box of 5, you don't want to spend a lot of time on the range with them. But to me, they are worth the money.

Nothing through the siding yet! I do have some hay bales behind my target at 40 yards (only because I cant drive the stakes for my decoy into concrete) and I'm working on my line of sight to shoot a 50 yard target. I will post a picture when I get it figured out. The new QAD rest by the way, is the $hit! I'm so glad I upgraded.

Here is my 20 and 30 yard set up. I'm still working on lighting for the 40 yard target. I've been shooting 30-40 arrows every couple days. Starting to shoot some really good groups at 30 yards, around 2". I love it!

I have the complete opposite problem, my WGI cameras perform great in the winter (rechargeable batteries, fast card) and not so good in the hot summer temps. I get good clean crisp photos in the cold and a lot of blurry "white out" pics in the summer. My WGI cams are the only ones with this problem. My other moultrie cams do well all year, except the older one that uses D batteries...they last about 2-3 weeks in winter.

Heck of a deer and video! Congrats!

I've got a pretty good range set up in my barn so I've been trying to shoot 10-12 arrows a day. Since monday I think I've put 50 arrows through it, so I'm gonna start trying to fine tune her.

Best part was it only cost me $18, had so many gift cards from Xmas!

Well an online order, a trip to BPS and $338 later I made some serious upgrades to my bow. Started with a new string from Brad at 60X. From there a new 3/16" meta peep from G5. Upgraded the hostage pro with a QAD HDX. Upgraded the Apex sight with a Trophy Ridge micro cypher 5. Now I just have to get over to the barn and fine tune it. Should be a tack driver now. Can't wait to shoot this hog!

The wifey got me a nice new morrell target for xmas so now I have 4 total to set up in the barn. Looks like I will be able to cover all my yardages. Now I just have to work on the lighting.
