  6. I think that changed the year they moved the licence year to a September 1 start.
  7. some areas are 2 in original, 2 in the left over draw and get two signed over.
  8. Is it a box blind? Enclosed? Why couldn't he just shoot out the other side?
  9. Binds it up better becsue we slice it across like a watermelon to serve it.
  10. Stuffed zucchini is also a wonderful option. Need big ones. Cut in half, spoon out seeds set opening up and stuff with favorite fillings. I like a mixture of hot Italian sausage, bread crumbs, egg, parm cheese some diced bell peppers.
  11. Ohhhhhh it would be so easy to derail this thread after that. Lol
  12. Fat finger guys. Apologize for the confusion. 30-378. 378 mag parent case
  13. Been looking into a wildcat myself. Kind of have my heart set on a 30-358. How much will a rebore run you?
  14. In my case the applied for Doe tags are taken in a different area than I live becasue my hunting camp is there. . I live in 8H and would take more does during bow if I had better access to the late draw tags earlier. I'll do more than my part if they find a way to give me the paper.
  15. do they lock in the deployed position?
  16. It is free. They have a donation can there to help withe the costs. tower to simulate treestand shooting. 3D's out to 60 yards (I believe) Bag targets out to 60...(maybe 70) and a big big big target at 100.
  17. yup. Bastards always hit on the bottom spoon. lol
  18. Not sure if it was an appropriate and only use, but an old timer that used to take me fishing used to use them for trolling copper line for trout.
  19. Gotta take that on a case by case basis. Nuisance tags for Deer in my areas which are shotgun only during regular season, allow use of a rifle for the nuisance tags. NOT is local ordinances exclude them though.
  20. I believe this would be similar to having a nuisance permit to take ....say ... a beaver. All the regs read what you can and can't do while TRAPPING. With a special nuisance permit it supersedes the regs and allows what is not normal. You have a special permit to track and during that operation you are bound by those rules. To bring the dog afield during the HUNT and prior to the TRACKING, the permit is not valid and you are bound by the hunting regulations.
  21. Several States have a "friendship" an some states allow hunting at 6. I'll be watching this.
  22. and accelerate on the forward stroke. Don't get caught up with how far and trying that really long cast. work towards that perfect "curl" of the line, even if it's only 40 feet. Distance will come on it's own. Part of what I like about stream fly fishing is the "stalking" component of it. Gettign close. laying the fly right where you want it and then the strike.
  23. If you are just getting started I would practice casting with no leader in the back yard for a bit. It will save you frustration on the water. If you are going 5 wt, I would suggest starting out with a 6 weight fly line. I think it is easier for beginners to "feel" what the rod is doing with one size up fly line. I would assume you are starting out with floating line. I would also suggest a weight forward or shooting taper.
