  1. I think most do. Any that I know. With the fur prices what they are the skull and castors are worth as much or more than the fur
  2. It’s two large sent glands at base of tail , headed up towards stomach area. Used in high end fragrances and believe it or not food flavorings.
  3. Side note concerning my joke above. Get into it for the fun, the management or just to get out in nature and learn something. DON"T get into it for the $$$ Jan 2021 local fur auction up in Ballston Spa Species Quantity Average Rats 722 3.20 Red Fox 21 6.99 skunk 1 6.00 Beaver 123 10.20 Castor 16lbs 76.39 coon 28 3,32 coyote 45 20.13 Fisher 74 22.84 gray fox 8 13.16 pine marten 3 22.83 mink 29 6,53 otter 9 15.94
  4. Catch yourself 20 coons and it'll just about pay for it...lol
  5. there is no minimum. There is a regulation that you can't set any trap on a road and bodygrips can not be set within 100' from a public trail unless in a WMA. Good practice should judge whether you do or not. releasing incidental catches can be a biotch and you don't want to negative perception if a resident or neighbors pet gets caught. Select trap size appropriate, applicable pan tension and pay mind to bait to avoid the incidentals. Edit: having permission goes without saying.
  6. They may have won but the appeal of Trump was becasue he presented such a polar opposite.
  7. Should get it about in time for all the land trapping to be closed...lol. Having just taken the in person course 2 years ago I would suggest that if any of you do this at home or online, still go to an in person course if and when they open back up. The hands on and demonstration aspect of the in person can't be replicated on paper or a screen in my opinion.
  8. And Trump was elected because of Obama and his policies. The problem with a pendulum is you can't be surprised when you push it so far one way that it swings back the opposite way equally far. I long for the day when it is just hanging stagnant in the middle.
  9. I've had beaver and racoon as food. Both were surprisingly very good. I've also had opossum and it was ok. Many people on the trapping community rave about how good Bobcat is.
  10. 55 and had to give up 2/3 in the divorce so I was chicken. Figure if it dumps I’ll get back in
  11. you get one I'll show you how to skin and flesh it.
  12. I got chicken and moved everything in the 401k to safe harbor yesterday.
  13. look at the ballistic drop charts and make a call that fits your hunting style and locations. I typically got everything 1" high at 100. Google MPBR and read up on that. basically it's determining your point and click distance based on ballistics/trajectory.
  14. I fear this is just gong to escalate as we see the two extremes start to clash. This is a long way from over. IMO
  15. It comes in when the detained person doesn't know enough to request release to start the clock on the rest of it.
  16. I'm trying to find the full link but this was the paragraph I copied out of what I read. 7. WHEN A PERSON OR GROUP IS ORDERED TO BE DETAINED PURSUANT TO SUBDI- VISION TWO OF THIS SECTION FOR A PERIOD EXCEEDING THREE BUSINESS DAYS, AND SUCH PERSON OR MEMBER OF SUCH GROUP REQUESTS RELEASE, THE GOVERNOR OR HIS OR HER DELEGEE SHALL MAKE AN APPLICATION FOR A COURT ORDER AUTHORIZING SUCH DETENTION WITHIN THREE BUSINESS DAYS AFTER SUCH REQUEST BY THE END OF THE FIRST BUSINESS DAY FOLLOWING SUCH SATURDAY, SUNDAY, OR LEGAL HOLIDAY, WHICH APPLICATION SHALL INCLUDE A REQUEST FOR AN EXPE- DITED HEARING. AFTER ANY SUCH REQUEST FOR RELEASE, DETENTION SHALL NOT CONTINUE FOR MORE THAN FIVE BUSINESS DAYS IN THE ABSENCE OF A COURT ORDER AUTHORIZING DETENTION. NOTWITHSTANDING THE FOREGOING PROVISIONS, IN NO EVENT SHALL ANY PERSON BE DETAINED FOR MORE THAN SIXTY DAYS WITH- OUT A COURT ORDER AUTHORIZING SUCH DETENTION. THE GOVERNOR OR HIS OR HER DELEGEE SHALL SEEK FURTHER COURT REVIEW OF SUCH DETENTION WITHIN NINETY DAYS FOLLOWING THE INITIAL COURT ORDER AUTHORIZING DETENTION AND THERE- AFTER WITHIN NINETY DAYS OF EACH SUBSEQUENT COURT REVIEW. IN ANY COURT PROCEEDING TO ENFORCE AN ORDER OF THE GOVERNOR OR HIS OR HER DELEGEE FOR A. 99 3 THE REMOVAL OR DETENTION OF A PERSON OR GROUP ISSUED PURSUANT TO THIS SUBDIVISION OR FOR REVIEW OF THE CONTINUED DETENTION OF A PERSON OR GROUP, THE GOVERNOR OR HIS OR HER DELEGEE SHALL PROVE THE PARTICULARIZED CIRCUMSTANCES CONSTITUTING THE NECESSITY FOR SUCH DETENTION BY CLEAR AND CONVINCING EVIDENCE.
  17. A news story that is incorrect? No way .... NO. it was the actual bill I read. not the news story
  18. January 6 2021 Exactly. I'm trying to pull up a previous version. The 3 days was not in the version I read when the story broke. Edit: the 3 days was NOT the finish line. There was an open ended 60 day provision.
  19. Did you look at the date on the current version on the site?
  20. Did you see this article about the proposed legislation? Imagine if he tried this with HIV or another disease. https://www.dailywire.com/news/ny-bill-says-governor-could-order-the-removal-of-people-with-contagious-disease
