  1. Last day of the season they will still have them.
  2. The timber company we lease from only has a "hands off" on standing timber. If it's down it's fair game.
  3. Sharp...looks like a different gun. Good luck with it out there
  4. Just an FYI...8H is still available in the second draw as well.
  5. I'm aware. I was just clarifying that what the town did was "notice" and made him aware of the danger. Could be a game changer for liability. but in a remote setting like this there is no way that neighbor is going to be required to do anything.
  6. That made him formally aware and he'd likely would have been financially liable if it came down after such notice. without being able to prove he had knowledge that the tree was a danger it's unlikely that you'd get any where in court. Best to ask him but he is under no obligation. If a wind storm blew his tree on your house it is YOUR insurance that needs to pay. not his. unless he has proven knowledge like a notification. This looks remote and I'd just get a saw out and remove it.
  7. Keep checking your numbers. https://www.lotteryusa.com/new-york/numbers/ I had one winner already from the in hand tickets I sold.
  8. 22lr right behind the shoulder almost no damage at all. Definitely nothing big enough that needs repair
  9. It's been really quiet around the traps over the last few nights. Hopefully the colder weather gets them cranked up again. Partner shared a better photo of our last coyote. (little better lighting) I just love this picture. It has cover the the NYSDEC trapping reg's book written all over it...lol. I think I am going to get a print made of it.
  10. ....or waste time and effort burying pharaohs and huge caches of treasure under a mountain of carved rock ...lol
  11. I've got some MB 650's that I was gonna set for drowners. I know there are 3 channels they run becasue they use the same ones every time they move in there. a 330 would guard them perfectly and I was gonna set the dam break with the 650's. I have no idea how many there are currently but it usually ends up being a pair that move in that creek every couple years.
  12. I was notified last week that the creek we cross to get into camp is dammed up and flooding by some beavers. Well I have a DEC nuisance permit and it will be game on come opening weekend. So I was wondering if anyone has any 330's that they would want to sell. I am in the Rochester area but will meet. holler if you have any.
  13. I usually post this once a year. 2020 being what it is I missed it. I usually put it up talking about shot angles but this is an actual cross section of a deer just behind the front shoulders. (I'd love to see this done at 3-4" intervals down the deer. No opinions....jus the picture.
  14. I think I saw a bra ad like that not too long ago.
  15. Here are a few near misses and a coon catch. It amazes me how frequently the sets are visited before one commits. The first two are the same set. Dirthole under that rotted stump.
  16. I know it's out of order but here is the lead up pics to the fox catch last night. We've had a few coyotes and fox skirt the set so we blind set about 5' back from the actual dirthole. One of the blind sets actually was the one that made the catch. You see his approach and the last pic is right after the catch.
  17. The first witness they are calling is Christin Blasey Ford
  18. They are not going to be able to pack the court with the Republicans still controlling the Senate.
  19. really? do you think it is a stretch that my Remington 7400 or Winchester 100 wouldn't fall under some modified "Safe Act" type legislation?
  20. Unfortunately in the current world setting, just an allegation seems the be enough....an not just specific to this instance.
  21. He and I messaged a bit last year towards the end of the season. I'd love to follow him on some water trapping if he does it.
  22. I have to say I am a huge fan of the offset jaw design. We had one dirthole set that was in the bank of a farm field edge. The little 12" bank that is always left when a field is plowed. It was right adjacent to thick cover and on the west side of the field so the wind would carry the scent into the property. Well you always run the risk of incidental catches but we are really trying to minimize it by having a pan tension on the heavier side. Running about 3-1/2. pounds. We got notification of a pic and a hen turkey had been walking that edge. Well she was in with a full foot catch when we went down. We were just finishing up the one coyote. We didn't get any pics or video becasue we wanted to turn her loose as soon as we could. I went up and place my jacket over her totally and she calmed right down. Her foot was undamaged becasue the offset jaws don't close all the way. My partner depressed the levers and I pulled my coat off her. She ran about 30 yard and stopped, turned around and almost looked like she gave us a "thanks a$$holes" look. lol.
  23. Actually trying a bunch of different ones. Not hitting any specific one. While we were skinning and boarding this coyote tonight we got a cell cam photo of a fox working the same set the last coyote was caught at. We remade it at about 4 and we caught this male red at about 7. Right after we were all cleaned up. Lol
