  1. only 2 days left if anyone wants in. Call the number on the link and Mike can get you processed. no need to have the stub in your hand as long as he assigns the number before the drawing on November 1st.
  2. because you can't. if you shoot a buck during regular season you MUST use your regular season tag. If you shoot a doe during regular season you MUST have a doe permit for that area. the bow/ muzzleloader tags are NOT valid during regular season. Think of it this way. you took a bow course and bought the privilege to bow hunt. as part of that they gave you an tag. now that you bought that privilege to bow hunt you can use that implement in the bow and regular seasons. BUT the carcass tags used must be for the season you are hunting in. the only general exception is your regular season antlered tag, if unfilled during the regular season, converts to an either sex tag that can be used in either the late bow or late muzzleloader seasons.
  3. It isn't overlapped at all. You are looking at legal implements and that means NOTHING about what tag can be used. during regular season ONLY the regular season tag and "Doe Permits"(DMP's) can be utilized. There may be odd ball regs for areas around NYC and archery only areas but in the general southern and Norther zone, that is concrete
  4. crossbow is last two weeks or bow season....not regular season. Read your tag. It should say either sex. Yes the DMP's (doe permits) can be used in their issued areas during that crossbow season.
  5. actually I think the quarantine is 14 before the go into the populace of NY. I don't believe going back to where they came from would be an issue.
  6. Back to the OP. "Doe Permits" were only for the regular season back when I started. Also you didn't get an extra tag for bow. you bought your privilege to bow hunt and could take an antlerless or an antlered deer.....but it was your regular season tag you had to use to do it. So if you shot a doe or a buck during bow you were done, unless you had an doe permit for regular season.
  7. DB hit it on the head. Some of us really dive in but most just do what they love and what they can. It takes all levels to make it work and it's fun. Some of our volunteers just like to be involved in the education events, some just like the banquets others just like to instruct or mentor in the Field to Fork. We had a couple that just liked getting donations ( I sure miss them...lol)
  8. The charter is still active but I don't believe the branch actually is doing much becasue of lack of leaders. Anyone want to raise their hand and I can point you in the right direction.
  9. Personally I think becasue of the rage and violence the anti-Trump people have shown the "silent majority" is even quieter than before. No way in hell I'd ever fly a Trump flag or put on a bumper sticker. I wouldn't want any vandalism to the house or vehicle. I'm going on record saying Trump's win will be bigger than in '16
  10. ticketed....but did it stick? That rope doesn't seem to meet the letter of the section The full text. http://ypdcrime.com/penal.law/article140.htm#p140.00
  11. This is from NY Penal law 140 A person who enters or remains upon unimproved and apparently unused land, which is neither fenced nor otherwise enclosed in a manner designed to exclude intruders, does so with license and privilege unless notice against trespass is personally communicated to him by the owner of such land or other authorized person, or unless such notice is given by posting in a conspicuous manner.
  12. yes it is poste. BUT it isn't legally posted. This comes into play when trying to prosecute a trespasser. Legally---Catch some one on your land (unimproved) and it isn't legally posted and you must officially notify that person (like certified mail) that they were trespassing. If they do it again they can be charged. If it is posted appropriately then they can be charged at the first offense. Ethically---If you don't own it, someone else does and you don't go on it without permission.
  13. Mike said he still had a stack to work on this weekend so I expect them to go out very soon.
  14. Primers and Powder have been hit the hardest, but starting to see it in the bullets as well.
  15. I've seen him posting pretty consistently on his chainsaw art Facebook page.
