  1. I want a shooting rail that will fold down out of the way for bow and really have adjustability for use with gun. You know, one that come up high enough so you don't have to be 4'-2" sitting down to use it.
  2. Just prejudice. My Father in law was one. LOL. I just meant they ones they use to write regulations and laws that have no clue about what they are writing. They are artists of making the simple complex.
  3. I haven't yet. Problem I run into with slip on is my foot is not only wide but deep from the instep to the heel. makes getting tight fitting ones a biotch to get off. I only get about 2-3 seasons out of the cheaper higher insulated ones as well. Last pair was guide gear from Sportsman's Guide. 2400 gram. I wear them ice fishing as well. Wouldn't mind paying well for them if they held up.
  4. Yeah no kidding. They would be written by attorneys that don't know the difference between a rifle and a shotgun.
  5. I think you'll find it right near the tuna. Makes some really easy chicken salad as well. Lol
  6. So you can sit in a 15' tree stand and take a 200 yard shot into a meadow but can't stand on the ground and overlook a ravine? My main problem with all of this is trying to legislate our common safety rules and practices. No matter what you can't cure stupid and it doesn't matter what type of weapon is carried.
  7. Not sure. But with a mile or 3 from the limits I bet pretty good.
  8. I get that. Wayne is more dense than those rural areas like. Say Corning. I heat Watertown gets shot up every year too.
  9. I have. But if that logic holds then we should be against them in the areas that just opened over the last years. Or maybe banning them unless used out of stands?
  10. Not for one minute. Wall space is easy to come up with. On the floor....not so much. Displays it well, great work and I wanted it upright because of the blaze.
  11. An option if you decide you don't want a full mount. This bear was about 250
  12. Irrational fear, Two Tracks. Tying illegal behavior and how rifle hunting is unsafe in level country is apples and oranges. Lets look at it logically. Take a 300 Win mag. if you are zeroed at 200 yards and take a 300 yard shot at a deer. if the vitals of a deer are 3' off the ground that bullet isn't making it 500 yards with a clean miss before it is in the ground.
  13. "No one needs 10 bullets to kill a deer"...... Now who do you guys sound like? SMH
  14. Thought with New Years Eve and the Super Bowl coming up I would share a very easy dipping recipe that we love. Choose your wing sauce to your taste. We like the mild. I also know folks that substitute Ranch Dressing for the Blue Cheese Enjoy. 2 packages of cream cheese softened at room temp 2 larger cans of chicken 1 bottle of chicken wing sauce 2 bags of grated taco cheese 1 bottle of blue cheese salad dressing In foil pan spread cream cheese on the bottom of the pan in an even layer. In a bowl place drained chicken and chicken wing sauce. Stir well, mixing to coat all the chicken and breaking chicken up. Place half the chicken mixture over the cream cheese and spread evenly. Place one bag of taco chees over this and spread evenly. Drizzly ½ bottle of blue cheese dressing on the cheese and spread in a thin coating to cover the cheese. Repeat with the second half of the ingredients. Bake at 350 until bubbly and the cheese is thoroughly melted. About 30-40 minutes. Serve hot with dipping chips, like Fritos scoops. Optional: finish off on broil to lightly crust up the top.
  15. We have 2 box blinds at camp. One is only 2' off the ground because it is in the hemlocks and any higher would reduce visibility. The one pictured is 4' off the ground. This summer we are putting in two others and they will have 8' legs. They are 4'x4' by 6'-6" tall at the highest part of the roof. Perfect size for one person. we use swivel office style chairs. I will admit they are probably a tad small if you wanted to bow hunt out of them.
  16. Me. If I had that, I would buy land in Colorado and start growing pot.
  17. It is hard. All the more reason why a very large portion of what you work for should be handed over to those who just don't feel like they want to take the risks that you have. Sorry couldn't resist. You nailed the reason why those willing to take the risks should be able to keep what they work for.
  18. My Father had a Bushnell do the same thing one year. The scope was toast for some reason. good at the end of the seasons and couldn't get it to center in the summer. You gotta have an spare scope laying around. At least one of the underpowered fixed 4's...lol
