if I saw something like that walking a field edge to me, I think I would be the only thing "piled up"

I can't get the concept of giving up, honestly. Let me make a suggestion to anyone frustrated with not seeing deer. Don't ever take a trip into the high peaks region of the Daks to fill your tags. I have hunted seasons with only a view of a flag to show for it. Adapt. If something has changed, go figure out what. If sitting in the same stands that have yielded no results has you down, do something about it. Change you tactics or wait it out and see what happens. In general deer population are far higher than when I hunted in my teens and early 20's. Maybe too good and we got spoiled. -
Anyone following this Ferguson stuff going on?

The folks rioting are doing it because they were given an excuse to riot. It could have been the local Krispy Kreme donut shop ran out of their favorite flavor. They could give a rats butt about the facts or the outcome. They are salivating just hoping the indictment doesn't come through. I have two friends with family in St. Louis area and they said the ammo and gun shops look like they have been looted already with people stocking up. Take care of you own down there because you are the only ones that will. There is no doubt in my mind what my reaction would be if rioters came on my property to do harm to my family or property. What I am curious about is how many other cities are going to experience it at the same time from the same type of people just looking for an excuse to upgrade to a 60" flat screen. -
Well if that isn't the definition of hypocrisy. Don't change it unless it is a change that I want. Let's be honest, The majority that are in favor of them are not interested in heard management or a more balanced age structure. They want an easier time of it to go shoot a buck that they can brag about.

Obviously huffing and puffing....like a snort wheeze...lol

$0.42 a square foot. I have been looking at the bigger bulk type rolls but I sure would like to know someone that used a brand in a Foodsaver before buying them.

what on earth was that all about?

Had misfiring issues with a buddy of mine and his new Wolf. They addressed it immediately, shipped a new gun and we made the ML opener up north with it. I wouldn't have a problem ever buying a CVA with that service. Glad it worked out for you Red

In the last 3 years I have been with 3 hunters who have taken their first deer with us. That excitement brings back my feeling of first deer every time.

Great buck Joe, Congrats to Dave. looks like he was certainly getting some frustration out on those trees.

Where on earth do you guys hunt? I don't even see this much pressure or hear that much shooting on the state land near me. There is 2500 acres near our camp. I bet I didn't hear 20 shots on the 2500 acres. I took a stroll over onto it on Sunday and walked for 2 hours in fresh snow and never cut a man track.

I am pretty up on the gun laws but what am I missing here? We are talking Buffalo, NY, right? aside from pistols and AW's who has a record of any long guns in a home? In NYC I can see how they could because the folks down thee have to register every gun. Right before all my long guns fell off the boat in the middle of Ontario, no one had any idea of what my cabinet held.

I now take Friday rather than Monday. Or like this year I did BOTH...lol

This make me remember my hunters education class from about 38 years ago. It was a shoot don't shoot movie. it was a deer going through the brush but just didn't look right. then the deer cam out from behind the brush being carried across a guys shoulders. There is no way to any competent person that this should have happened. I can't believe a deer strapped on a cart could look alive.

I was speaking specifically the inside corner to the left of the "S" in standing corn. is the pic oriented north? -
per capita?

If you look at license sales, bow hunters are the subculture.

How does it look down the picture. I am very fond of inside corners and especially when the woods abuts standing corn. -

He says to hunter who owned land or camps in the areas prior to the change -
That is why I think he must have hit an artery or Vein. Looks like a lot of blood quickly for a high hit with no exit. I think this deer is dead personally.

Since you got a little time to kill and not to start a flaming session (so don't do it guys), if he was offering a chest shot doesn't that mean he was still coming to you? What happened to make you take that shot? Did he bust you?
