reload reload reload. It isn't a cake walk finding components but it is sure nice just going out and loading up what you need when you need it. Primers are the biggest pain right now.

you are almost correct to that point. if you purchase Bow priveleges you get ONE addition tag and it will be Either sex. If you wer to purchase a second privelege like ML you get another tag that will be antlerless only. I have no idea bout the page but the map is clear and up to date in on the website for the AR areas. In the AR areas there are 3 type of deer. Antlerless (having no antlers or antlers that measure less than 3") Antlered Deer with non qualifying antlers (having at least one antler greater than 3" but less than 3 points of !" or more) Legal antlered Deer (Having at least one antler with 3 points of 1" or more) Those in the non qualifying category are off limits to ALL tags. If you take and antlerless the ONE bow tag you have can go on as an antlerless or it can be used to take an antlered. Your regular season tag in the regular season must be used on a Legal AR deer. in teh late seasin it can be used like your either sex bow tag. Just a note. If you purchased a boq license , even though it says Bow/ML it is ONLY for bow until you purchase the ML priveleges. Now my head hurts I am going for a drink

That is cuz you guys live in the weird places with all kinds of screwed up regulation....Damn down stater...lol When I posted earlier I was speaking of general regulations. If you guys are asking for a specific area you may want to put that right in the post and the question.

But during the late bow season you CAN use your regular season tage to take either sex
-
yes. and to confuse the issue more, in the late season bow you can use your regular season buck tag to take a buck or a doe. SO you could end up with 2 bucks or 2 does.

My mother has one. It is OK if you are going to grind up for a meal. But I woulnd't want to run much through it. I am a firm believer if you design something to perform many functions it will do all of them but none of them well. I am pretty fond of my 1.5 horse grinder....just don't get your fingers in there.

I have a harness because of your story. Thanks Cabin.

Yes, but and this is the but that no one gets a good answer to. You will have to go and get a background check performed in order to do the sale. I haven't done it yet so I am not sure how many of the dealers are handling it. Maybe the dealer you bought the pistol through could help you out or clarify it. I have heard cost up to 50 to do it. It was supposed to be 10 but I guess it is 10 for the background check and 40 for their time...lol. sucks!

Cross Bows NO Longer Legal In NY
Culvercreek hunt club replied to sidewinder's topic in CrossBow Hunting
Special k. In fairness, Belo has always been squarely in favor of allowig crossbows for documented disabilities. -
tough time of year with NZ opener right around the corner and the SZ right behind it. Sad to say but a good time to pick one up is after the season and right before Christmas. People dumping them for present money.

DO you think he is a 2.5? or older? -
A Fish and Game club back home growing up had a two cable system where the target board on pulleys (at 75 yards) would be released and fly down the cables so you could shoot at moving targets. I saw some very very good guys shooting it.

Bow Hunting and DEC regulation questions
Culvercreek hunt club replied to jrm's topic in Bow Hunting
don't want to hijack the thread but we are talking regulations so here goes anyway...lol See that is what I meant. none of what you listed is required gear for one or the other. I have gone out deer huntig with no rattlers, doe bleats, grunt tubes, doe estrous scents, etc. I have been out yote hunting with just a simple Rabbit bleat call in my pocket and the same flashlight I have when deer hunting. The over lapping seasons really does confuse things. That same probable cause doesn't exist for the DEC Officers as it does with reagular LEO's? -
Bow Hunting and DEC regulation questions

Well welcome to the sport and I want to give you Kudos for actually reading the regulations and trying to understand them before you start. Good luck this season. You planning on gun hunting as well? -
Bow Hunting and DEC regulation questions
Culvercreek hunt club replied to jrm's topic in Bow Hunting
Best bet is to email them. They are always very helpful. Just a FMI in your first paragraph. How would one go about proving that? I guess you would have the same "problem": proving you are out after deer season ended with our rifles hunting Yotes. I hate the whole guilty until proven innocent line but it sure seems like it can be applied here if that is true. I think (as with so many topics) there were a few threads on just this last year. -
I guess it was the post you made that sounded great but then you broke out in the "flailing"..lol. I am never going to try an justify something I am not part of or didn't see as ethical of safe and in the same breath without being there I can't say that they aren't. I will agree that there are groups of shots that I know they are so close together, or as we say "pushing each other out fo the barrel" the odds that the person could have even aimed is pretty low. It just bugs me to hear anyone shooting at a running deer is a "slob hunter' or unethical. Heck if we need standing targets to be ethical most of our small game hunting will go away. We had a friend up at camp that was a little quick on the trigger on follow up shots. we had him try the same thing on paper off hand. He is better now...lol.

Bow Hunting and DEC regulation questions
Culvercreek hunt club replied to jrm's topic in Bow Hunting
JRM, Just wondering. why the questions about all teh small game and broad heads during archery season? If you are a bowhunter and are proficient anough to go after yotes, why wouldn't you carry broad heads to take a deer if you had the chance? I mean if the season is open and you can legally hunt, why not take full advantage of it. I know my luck and about the time I wandered out there with just Juddo points for small game the biggest buck of would walk over and stand broadside at about 10 yards....lol -
Cross Bows NO Longer Legal In NY

I have not seen anything published confirming that. I wouldn't suggest anyone believe that until it is in writing.
