You seem to have no problem creating boogey men when it comes to religion. -

Many might not agree with me but those that sit idly by and allow rights to be infringed on because "they don't affect me" are the problem or at least equal to those actively taking the right away. In my mind they may even be worse because they are owners of firearms and won’t take a stand. Can we at least agree that this Safe act will do nothing to reduce violent gun crime? That is one of their stated goals. When that does not work, and it won’t, what then? Do you honestly believe they will throw in the towel and say “Oh well we tried”. If, as only a hunter, you want to see how this could impact you, just do a little research on what has happened in Australia. That did take place in a “life time”. Less than one as a matter of fact. Try to hunt with a semi auto shotgun down there to say nothing of a semi auto rifle. Check out the hoops you have to go through to hunt with a bolt action. It can happen in a life time and if the fence sitters in our ranks don’t choose a side, it will.

Very different issues. You are comparing differing opinions about regulations to an assault on a Constitutional right. Opinions should be brought up on any proposed regulation change but the conversations should not even be happening aout restrictiong a right. Not in our ranks. This is an incrimental attck on our freedoms

So God made a liberal

Just becasue one calls themselves something does not make it so. I can agree that Obama is a Liberal, but Bush was no conservative. I honestly believe some of our past Democrats were more conservative that he was. I really don't care about tags and I wish we could get some candidates that really had "the peoples'"as a whole best intersted at heart. Realli is sad the choices we have. (or no choices I guess) -
I hae made sausage bread but substituted venison for sausage. Great appetizer.

Unfortunately the gene pool is not very deep in many cases...lol. Does kind of bring a tear to the eye though.

I think it really should be the same thing. It has the evergy of some handguns that are legal.

When is the Cave warming party?

I carry one for small game once in a while. I have knocked feathers off pheasants and had them fly away a few times as well. It does do a very nice job on squirrels and cotton tails though.

pistol permit process
Culvercreek hunt club replied to noahmstone's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
no idea if it is actually true but I heard in January the normal Monroe COunty permit count is about 200+/-. Last month they had 2,000 permits submitted. -
pistol permit process

Let's keep NYC out of the conversation becasue it will cloud it but if you have a CC permit without restricions it is valid in all of the state (again excluding NYC) I believe a county like Onondaga almost never issues a permit without restrictions now but I can carry everyday there with my NY permit issued from Monroe county becasue I have no restrictions. That is pure BS for c the residents of those counties with authorities that will not issue unrestricted permits. -
Successful in NY? That's saying something...

Yeah the first couple years sems pretty easy but then diet can play a big part in the wear shown on the molars. A diet of hard mast vs soft crop can makea big difference. At that point, though, with the jaw bone in hand, if I can get confirmation that it is at least 3.5 I know I didn't let my desire to take a buck get in the way of what my eyes were seeing in body features ...lol -
Joseph...this is what we use to charge our 2 deep cylce maine batteries http://www.harborfreight.com/solar-panel-kit-45-watt-68751.html

I think it is 41 spec. and 41 mag. The bore of a .410 is 41 caliber. I have also heard of them being used to propell arrows buy cutting the shell off just above the wad base and sticking an arrow fletching first down the bore, but it isn't something I want to try either...lol i always carried 5 410 slugs with me when small game hunting years ago and they did shoot well out of it but I woulnd't imagine using it for deer.

I love that idea...LOL. if they were smart they would just set renewal dates based on Birth months. But since that makes sense we don't have to worry about that.

The passing of crossbows in Bow hunting season would not effect how you pass the tradition on. I love to bow hunt it is one of my favorite times of the year. But I am not a bowhunter. I am a hunter and to me the hunting tradiditon has nothing to do with what we are carying in our hands. That is just my take and I know we see it differently and differently doens't make either of us right or wrong, just different. I know the comment was for a 14 year old but I referenced 12 since that is the NY bowhunting age.

I did it on the fly but it was very very easy. As always the metal roofing is the slippery part...lol. The metal was all the tails I cut off fromthe cabin roof anyway so it didn't cost anything for that. It is basically 4x4 posts set in a 11'-5"'x7'-5"' pattern with a double 2x10 frame around the top (this allows the 8' and 12' loing 2x10s to wrap all around the outside of the posts). Those are carriage bolted through the posts. 2x6x8' at 2' on center rafters with 2x4 purlins @2' on center up the rafters. I threw in 2 2x10s cross ties in the frame on the 12' side to reinforce for snow load since we aren't there to remove heavy snow (these are perfect for hanging deer if the weather is bad. . The 2x4 knee braces from the frame to the posts really stiffen it up. I used full 8' rafters becasue I wanted the over hang and the purlins i let run past eh ends to support a false rafter on the ends. since the metal roofing was 3' wide I made the roof 15'. The littel canopy on the end is for the gas grill to sit under. We shoot, cook and sit out there in the heaviest rain and stay nice and dry. THis picture is prior to the rafters

They are not closing. it is an additional store. They actually sell a lot outside of Ny and the PA store will let them continue without the NY BS. Funny you guys brought up gun clubs ammo and clay targets becasue we had this conversation at lunch yesterday at work. When the ammo background check falls into place I wonder how gun clubs will handle it for their stock they keep on hand? How will they document their bulk orders and distribution?
