  1. It is a great choice. don't get scared off by recoil in that platform. The downside i see on the 6.8 is ammo availability compared to other calibers. Like you said they look kick a$$ but you sure are going to want to shoot it,....lol. I really want a 308
  2. Get Better Bil. any chance you could be well enough to take a run at gun season?
  3. True hero. wish he could have accomplished it before so many were hit.
  4. I am not sure an armed citizen could prevent this, but they have a much better chance than an unarmed one. I would think that the armed citizens (the good guys) would immediately comply with a lawful order to put their arms down. the ones that don't and shoot at the cops are likely the bad guys.
  5. I think she may be on to something....no wait.. I think she has a point.....no wait. Awwww. nevermind
  6. WOW...that does work out really close. within a 1/2" of my DL too. And here all this time I thought you were just another purdy face
  7. All politics aside, there is one large difference betweenteh two of the candidates. One has to consider action for a re-election. and one doesn't. I want that level of consideration in a president. They are both too far left for my taste but that consideration may temper decissions and policies.
  8. That actually appears to be the Hudson Valley branch oh the organization. The members of this bracnch have the ability to set teh focus for the branch and lobbying for MANDATORY AR's is not a requirement for a chapeter. I can' only guess that the members out there decided they wanted to push that aspect. I can tell you this and I will mix no words about it. I have not....will not EVER push for legislated mandatory AR's . If a Co-op wants to make it mandatory for THEIR land...have at it. but I won't support it legislated/regulated for anyone. In fact I will actively work against any group that does, including this one. I took on a Chairman position for the education committe for this Chapter. My personal opinion is that letting bucks mature is a benefit. I think this should be encouraged through education and not through legislation/regulations.I think it is a benefit to my hunting experience but other hunters should have the right ot define their experience.
  9. an inch of extra draw length cause me a few very uncomfortable moments on one bow I bought. ewwwww......bad stuff
  10. No problem. They need to have hunters write the regulation books...not attorneys...lol. I would suggest reading it from cover to cover though. Lots of little tid bits hiding in there.
  11. but it has to be on the regular season tag...NOT the Bow ML tag And that Reg season tag is an Antlered tag during the regular season----but can be used for either sex in the late bow/ML season. Bet that just confused the issue...lol. Hope not
  12. I have the same one in Black and brown laminate. If it doesn't get bit on here try posting on Encoreclassifieds.com. I know thye go for more but you may be just a tad higher than what I have seen them go for. Good luck, it might go there. Make sure to post it is 50 cal ML forearm.
  13. depending ont eh accuracy of the GPS though it could be pretty close. the GPS isn't used as a survey but as a locater from an established and legal survey. I have seenthem put up ribons as a visual buffer so even the skiddrs don't wander onto adjacent properties. Have you actually seen maked for removal trees that you think are on you property or just the ribbons?
  14. I read an article on this once and the theory was the draw was left over from nursing. they felt the vanilla stimulated a scent memory from when they were a fawn.....I won't how mnay deer were actually surveyed to draw that conclusion...lol
  15. I would love to fight him on that one...lol. soaking up liquid on cloth doesn' change the pahse of the matter. To Dave---bull up any infor or videos you can find on "honey burn" I think you would find it works pretty well.
  16. There are only 3 out here and they never make it past opening day. Long Island has them all. THe main focus of hunters should be down there.
  17. The instructors there should have good input and suggestions for that area. I know the club by me has a student rate of $75 a year. very sad and down right offeensive if the ones out there don't. We are missing the boat if we are not promoting this to the youger crowd. Good luck.
  18. was just suggesting. Wish it had worked out for you.
  19. I had a brand new bow and all the bells and whistles last year. let a bunch of little bucks go and never had a good one or doe within range.....I am dying to use it and those broadheads too. I have 3 buddies that use them with great results. Good Luck
  20. I am not sure if we are saying the same thing or not. I know all the same forage is available but what is predominantly used? a 6.5 year old in agricultural country and a 6.5 year old in the high peaks of the Daks will have defferent tooth wear based on the diet. That was my thought anyway.
  21. I don't know any in that area but would suggest trying a local rifle/pistol range. Many have great youth programs and are geared not only to the safety but actual shooting development.
