Got a picture, Pygmy? -
I often wonder how many "wives" take a buck to get a buck and then the old man's tag is used if a good one comes by.

I could bow hunt right out the window and over the fence....but I don't....I think their security does though...funny how the biggest ones start to disappear as the season starts.

LOL...I was just trying to illustrate how tight a lot of 8C is.....but you visuals are stuck in my head now...lol
-
well I don't know about the other WMU's but hte 8C is an archery only area and there are monsters wandering around in there. It is very residential for a lot of it and there are tons of areas that are too small to get proper distance to dwellings...but big enough to allow for them to mature. A lot of the area is poke one and hope it doesn't run out and fall on a kid on the swing set in their back yard type hunting.
-
I had a great little spot in 8C for 2 years...but a buddy of mine sold his house to move for a promotion....some guys are just so selfish...lol

Well we have one on the plate right now and I really hope it goes through. It needs to go through -
Seems as though the lake has fallen of in popularity in recent years. I do know guys that are pounding the perch...big lake perch.....on Irondiquoit bay. I think it may warm up enough that I will try Canadice for some trout and smelt this weekend

In all fairness Arrow, I think there are enough talking points from both sides to more than go around. Let's face it, when ever there is an emotional topic and opposing sides there will be a wide array of different folks on both sides trying to lobby for their view. I have and will continue to admit that my mothvations are very selfish and personal. I want to be able to bow hunt with my father and one old time hunting partner again. The crossbow would allow this. -

No Sex Since 1955 A crusty old Marine Sergeant Major found himself at a gala event hosted by a local liberal arts college. There was no shortage of extremely young idealistic ladies in attendance, one of whom approached the Sergeant Major for conversation. "Excuse me, Sergeant Major, but you seem to be a very serious man. Is something bothering you?" "Negative, ma'am. Just serious by nature." The young lady looked at his awards and decorations and said, "It looks like you have seen a lot of action." "Yes, ma'am, a lot of action." The young lady, tiring of trying to start up a conversation, said, "You know, you should lighten up. Relax and enjoy yourself." The Sergeant Major just stared at her in his serious manner. Finally the young lady said, "You know, I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but when is the last time you had the sex?" "1955, ma'am." "Well, there you are. No wonder you're so serious. You really need to chill out! I mean, no sex since 1955!" She took his hand and led him to a private room where she proceeded to "relax" him several times. Afterwards, panting for breath, she leaned against his bare chest and said, "Wow, you sure didn't forget much since 1955." The Sergeant Major said in his serious voice, after glancing at his watch, "I hope not; it's only 2130 now!"[/t][/t]

It appears PSE has taken themselves out of the game here by .25 of an inch...interesting. the info on it really isn't that good. I belive the dimension the DEC peferences is at leat a 17" limb. the 16.75 I think is axle to axle. I found one article that said the limbs on the 15 were 16 inches...which would make it illegal. -

Same her...I have a buddy that shoots lights out on a 3D range and has choked every time he has had a deer with in range in the last 5 years. He practices like a mad man spring to the season starter..just can't get over the buck fever with a bow. He doesn't have the problem with a gun but just has a mental block with a bow for some reason. I even had him in his treestand shooting a deer target this summer. He missed 3 bucks this year. Still waiting for him to take me up on my $100 offer for his Matthews...lol -
Yes, but i believe you would have to have to bow hunting stamp
-
so with my 4 antlerless tags (doe permits) my bow tag (either sex) regular season, and a antlerless for ML...2 doe permits signed over from Dad...that would be 9 bucks...lol
-
why isn't there a spring season? and should we start one?
Culvercreek hunt club replied to G-Man's topic in Bear Hunting
I have never taken a spring bear but I would assume the fat trimming would be a lot less. I wonder about the taste. another question and I have no idea......how do female bears that have given birth behave with their new borns. Are they like Coyotes where the young stay in the den while mom goes out? If so would that allow for a reduction in breeding? I would think if mom was taken the survival of the cubs would not be possible -

Plus it is about $2000. My bad...so I will shoot it twice...LOL -
you can get one buck with your regular season tag. if you choose to hunt bow you get an either sex tag....add in ML and you get another tag good for antlerless only.....or visa versa There is a possibility to shoot 3 bucks in one year if you have a hold over license from the previous bow season and fill it up North prior to Oct 1st. And let me throw in this wrinkle for you.....if you bow/ML hunt your regular season buck tag is good in the late season and can also be used as an antlerless tag....so if you bow ...ML...and gun hunt...you could tag out and fill all 3 with antlerless.
